New Forward Care is on the lookout for motivated, reliable, and down-to-earth people to join our growing team as Support Workers. This isn’t your typical care role - it’s hands-on, rewarding, and full of variety.
What You’ll Be Doing 🤔
You’ll support individuals in the Rotherham area with mental health needs as they work toward living more independently. Your role will include:
• Supporting people with daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, shopping, and accessing local services
• Taking part in outdoor and community-based activities – walking, gym sessions, sports, or simply helping someone get out and about
• Being a positive role model and encouraging independence, routine, and confidence
• No personal hygiene care, manual handling, medication administration, or challenging behaviour involved
What We’re Looking For 👀
• A driver with access to a personal vehicle (essential – you’ll travel between and with clients)
• Someone who’s active, positive, and enjoys spending time outdoors
• A team player with initiative and a calm, level-headed approach to challenges
• A good understanding of mental health support and the ability to build real, supportive relationships
• It is essential that applicants have availability to work every other weekend and evenings- Part-time and full time available
