Mallaig Clean Non- profit group created by Mallaig Primary School Eco committee to reduce litter in our village

In Mallaig, there is an obvious lack of maintenance in terms of cleanliness of common areas (parks, paths, roads, beaches, etc.). The causes are probably the lack of capacity of the Council but also the lack of awareness of locals and visitors of the environmental impact of litter. Mallaig Clean is an initiative that aims to help clean up our town of litter and raise awareness of the importance of

managing our waste correctly. A clean town that respects the environment has many benefits for the planet, the animals, our health and even for the local economy. Mallaig Clean is an initiative by the children of Mallaig Primary to raise money for school trips and other school initiatives.
