It was great to see that Josh Major and Ben Clegg pulled out all the stops to get these two classic Fairy Huntsman power boats in the water and up to the regatta this year, next year we hope to have a few more of them and have a proper classic power boat race as part of the regatta competing for the 1871 Mayors Cup

Medium smack class start yesterday, very close start between Lizzie Annie and Puritan, a fraction of a second in it but it’s a shame they were both over the start by less than two seconds😢

Maldon Town Regatta is being held on the 27th September, open to all Smacks, sailing boats both traditional and modern.
It’s not too late to enter and have a chance of winning some of these great trophies.
There is also a duck race with a golden trophy and a cash prize, get your ducks from The Queens Head, Maldon Little Ship Club or MJ Lewis Boatsales at Downs Road Boatyard
