Maldon Orchestra

Maldon Orchestra We don’t hold auditions but owing to our expanding membership, we have had to implement a waiting list to maintain the sound balance in the Orchestra.

We meet every Friday to give amateur musicians of all standards the chance of making music together
We play all year round as we recognise the support and feeling of well-being that playing together brings Maldon has had an orchestra since 1949 and our aim is to give local amateur musicians the opportunity to gain experience of making music in an orchestral setting within a friendly and relaxed en

vironment. Whether you have recently picked up an instrument for the first time or haven't since you were at school, we provide an opportunity to make music with like minded people. Priority may be given to string players. Please contact the Secretary of the Orchestra first either via the page or by email on [email protected]

We are honoured to be the Pride of Essex Team of Pride Award winners for 2018. This is testimony to our ethos at work as everyone pulls together to make new players feel welcome and to support each other give of our very best. We perform concerts to raise funds for local charities whilst entertaining our audiences and enjoying the experience with our friends. Weekly meetings on Friday evenings in Maldon from 7.30-10pm.
