The Brett Foundation

The Brett Foundation The Foundation’s vision is to eradicate all loneliness for people of all ages and gender, to be a support to those that need it most

The Brett Foundation, is a Maidenhead charity, founded by Susan Brett in June, 2014. Susan is the founder and Chairman of 2 further Maidenhead charities, these include the town's 'Open Kitchen' charity, started back in 2010, known today as 'Foodshare' and also a charity called 'Shelter'. The Foundation’s vision is to eradicate all loneliness for people of all ages and gender, to be a support to th

ose that need it most, who may be on the wrong track, who need a guiding hand & to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry and for those families who can no buy the essentials or afford to feed their children. The Charity works with families providing children’s uniforms, and household items to people who are moving into empty homes after being evicted for not being able to afford rent. The families supported are normally moving into properties after being left homeless due to losing their jobs, or are on a low income. Susan Brett and her team of volunteers, work endlessly to provide school packs for school children who need school items, that their families cannot afford to purchase, homeless packs, which contain sleeping bags, tents, blankets, BBQ's, lights, pans, socks, pants and towels. Newborn babies are supported by the foundation too, supporting new baby packs, which contain baby clothes, toiletries, nappies, bedding, Moses basket and baby bouncer seat. At Easter & Christmas, Easter Eggs & Christmas items are provided, such as a tree, hampers, chocolates, mince pies, Christmas cake, fruit and vegetables, a voucher for meat and presents. Furthermore, The Brett Foundation also provide presents for the elderly who are alone with no living relatives and the homeless. Susan also works with the Youth Offenders Team and the youngsters doing community service help out with cooking, wrapping presents at Christmas and helping at the various community meals. As part of The Brett Foundations vision for the future, this is to see an end to food waste and lobbying government to change the laws surrounding food waste. We would like to have a ‘Community Café’ a place where vulnerable people can meet up and be offered some companionship, guidance and support. Thank you for your support and best wishes in supporting our charity. "TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE"

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of the companies at Foundation Park who recently came together to organise a toiletries drive in support of our Homeless Lounge. The photo below shows just a small selection of the fantastic products that were donated to give out to people experiencing homelessness. 🧴🧼

Alongside a warm and welcoming environment, guests are able to access essential items such as clothing, toiletries, and shower facilities, as well as enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast and a hot drink. For many people, having access to these basic necessities and a safe, comfortable space can have a huge positive impact on both their wellbeing and confidence.

Thank you once again to everyone who donated, it is always inspiring to see local organisations, businesses, and individuals come together to support vulnerable members of our community. 💛

Tonight we hosted a Christmas meal for our homeless community. Everyone was able to sit down and enjoy a chicken Christmas dinner together. 💛

We were able to use a projector to play a Christmas film whilst people ate, chatted, and shared crackers which helped create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Gift bags were placed on each chair for people to take away, something small to bring a bit of comfort and enjoyment over the festive period. 🎁

Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening possible, whether through volunteering, donating, or supporting behind the scenes. We couldn’t have done this without you all !! 💛🎄

🌲 🎁 ✨ It’s that time of year again! ✨ 🎁 🌲

We’ve been very busy and are pleased to share that this Christmas we will be delivering over 200 presents to children and families in need. For many families, Christmas can be an especially challenging time, with added financial pressure and rising costs making it harder than ever.

This was only possible thanks to the generous support of several corporate donors. A big thank you to the companies on Foundation Park Business Park, who together donated over 150 presents, and to Radcliffe Cardiology for their generous gifts and contributions.

Your support has helped ease some of the pressure and make a real difference to families in our community this Christmas. Thank you to everyone who played a part. 🎄

💛 JUNE & JULY HIGHLIGHTS 💛

It’s been a brilliant and busy few weeks here at The Brett Foundation! Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:

🌼 Hurst Morris People
We were treated to a fabulous performance by the Hurst Morris People at the Shire Horse this month. Not only was it a fun-filled evening (yes, I joined in too!), but they also kindly raised funds in support of our charity. Thank you!

⛳️ Winter Hill Golf Club
A huge thank you to Winter Hill Golf Club for their continued support. From Captain’s Day (featuring some epic fancy dress) to the Club Championships, they’ve been busy raising money for us and we’re so grateful.

🧥 Support at the Salvation Army
We’re continuing our weekly homeless lounge for people facing homelessness. Thanks to the Salvation Army, we now have a rail of donated clothing available for visitors to choose from each week — providing dignity and choice to those who need it most.

🎈 Soft Play Send-Off
We had our final soft play session before the summer break! We wish all our families a fun and restful summer holiday. We can’t wait to welcome you back in September.

💛 Thank you all for your ongoing support — Here’s to more wonderful days ahead!
