⭐️ RESEARCH STUDY VOLUNTEERS WANTED
⭐️ Adopted young adults 18-25 wanted to share their school experiences

Francesca Rowsell, Trainee Educational Psychologist at the University of Sheffield is undertaking her doctoral research exploring the experiences of adopted young adults in secondary education and how these experiences can inform educational practice.

Through this study, she hopes to provide an opportunity for adopted young adults 18-25 to share their experiences in their own words and explore how their voices can inform educational practice, particularly in supporting children and young people who have experienced early adversity, attachment difficulties, and care-related experiences.

Taking part would involve a one-to-one interview lasting approximately 60 minutes. To take part, the young people must have been enrolled at a mainstream secondary school for at least one year. The interview will explore participants' experiences of secondary education, including what they found helpful or challenging and how this can inform practice.

Our friends at Beech Lodge School run the Apprenticeshop in Maidenhead town centre, offering work experience to students, selling recycled and upcycled homewares, and raising funds for charities.
Pupils from Forest Bridge School, Manor Green School and The Bungalow are also involved with the project.
The Apprenticeshop is at No 4 High Street.
