Cookham Dean Primary School smashed it again at the annual swimarathon ! We’re so proud of all the children that took part.

We might be a small school, but check out these stats:

Strength in Numbers: Out of 60 state primary schools in the Borough, we are the only one that fills every single lane for our 50-minute slot!

Small but Mighty: We have over 100 children jumping in—more than any other school!

The Spirit: We are definitely the loudest and most cheerful team in the pool. For us, the swim is about fun and unity...
..But the fundraising? That’s where we get competitive!🏅

Last year, we raised a staggering £3,555 (nearly 10% of the entire event’s total!). We missed out on the 1st Place Fundraising Spot by only £100.

🏊🏻‍♀️ Over 100 children (around half of all children at school!) will be taking part in the Maidenhead Lions swimarathon on Sunday ! Our slot is 2pm. It’s a really fun event and a great challenge for the children who swim as many laps as they can in 50 minutes. Some of the children swim for local clubs, some have just learnt to swim and use floats, but all of them try their hardest! 🎄 Calling all Christmas elves!
We need a few helping hands for the Turkey Collection Day on Tuesday 23 December. It’s a gorgeous, wholesome event with plenty of festive cheer — and the promise of mulled wine for anyone helping!
We’ll be serving our homemade mulled wine (it takes the committee a full day to prep the 750 portions!), scrummy mince pies, running a lucky dip, and selling our school apple chutney.
Older children are very welcome to help too!

⭐ 🌲 Save the date! Whether you’re picking up a Christmas tree or not, please do come and join us for our festive Christmas party! It’s on from 11am until 2pm, with a performance from our fab Key Stage 1 Choir at around noon 🥰

We will have mulled wine and turkey rolls, mince pies and hot chocolate, crafting activities (biscuit decorating, design your own Christmas Eve plate and make your own reindeer food), an elf on the shelf treasure hunt, lucky dip, stalls from school groups the Gardening Club selling chutney and Christmas paperwhites and wreaths, Eco Warriors selling second hand Christmas jumpers and toys, and Bookworms selling second hand Christmas books! We will also have crafts for sale from some former pupils.

We will look forward to seeing you there 🌲 ⭐
