The Baby Bank The Baby Bank provides baby and children’s (0-16) clothes and essential equipment to families in need in Berkshire and surrounding areas.

The Baby Bank accepts donations of preloved and new items for babies, toddlers and teenagers. Following referrals by local teams working directly with families and other agencies, we provide baby/child essentials such as cots, buggies, clothes and safety items to families. We throughly check every item to ensure it meets safety standards as well as adhering to our own strict standards. Items that we cannot accept :
Anything that is broken, stained, damaged or has parts missing
Used mattresses-Safe sleep guidelines
Used car seats -we cannot accept these for safety reasons
Potties and toilet seats-hygiene
Breast pumps or used bottles
Cot bumpers

What an extraordinary evening!

We are still reflecting on the magic of the very first Baby Bank Ball, held at the beautiful Castle Hotel Windsor — an unforgettable night of glamour, generosity and celebration, all in support of The Baby Bank.

A heartfelt thank you to for the wonderful food and hospitality, helping to create such a memorable evening.

Our thanks to for the exquisite flowers, and to our volunteer Tania for her incredible talent in bringing the floral arrangements together so beautifully.

One cot. Many families. How do we choose?

The family who has fled domestic abuse and needs somewhere safe for their baby to sleep?

Or the little one who has outgrown his cot and is now climbing out because he desperately needs a safer bed?

We frequently see families facing impossible circumstances every day. Sometimes, there simply aren’t enough cots to meet the need.

If you have a cot your little one has outgrown, please consider donating it. Your cot could give a baby somewhere safe to sleep — and give a family one less thing to worry about.

Please ensure:

☑️ It’s under 10 years old
☑️ Has no damage that could affect its safety
☑️ Has all the fixtures & fittings, screws etc
☑️ Has instructions (original or electronically printed) so it can be assembled correctly by its new owner.

⏰ Drop off Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 9:30-12:30pm.

We received a request from a RBWM Social Worker to see if we could support with a bike for a young lad. Classified as a young carer, he had started a new school in September and struggled with attendance due to family circumstances.

Together with Maidenhead Cycle Hub in Maidenhead, we were able to regift this fab set of wheels! A bike that we know is safe having been checked over and gifted to us by Maidenhead Cycle Hub.

We’re hoping the bike will help him get to his new school independently and give him a real sense of freedom, confidence and a fresh start. This bike could make a life-changing difference and we can’t wait to hear how well his first term goes.

⭐️ Is your teen starting their bronze Award and looking for a meaningful way to volunteer?

At The Baby Bank, we offer young people the chance to volunteer with a local children’s charity, gaining hands-on experience while developing valuable life skills.

From learning compassion and empathy to building confidence and initiative, students leave with more than just volunteer hours—they leave with a sense of purpose.

If your child is interested in using one of their volunteering sections with us as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award, we’d love to hear from you! Please note these sessions will take place in weekday evening sessions from Holyport. Because of this, we are only able to accept those doing their Bronze level. Spaces are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.

Please ensure you think your child is the right fit for the charity before encouraging them to apply.

“I wanted to take a moment to write to you and share just how much your support has meant to a family I am currently working with.

The family were moved to Slough from another local authority and placed in a high-level flat, away from their existing support network. Mum has two young children and is heavily pregnant, which has understandably made it very difficult for her to get out of the home and access the community.

Thanks to your kindness in providing a double buggy, Mum has been able to take the children out to the park. This simple but vital support has made a significant difference — the children are now able to socialise, enjoy outdoor play, and as a result, their emotional wellbeing has improved. Mum reports that they are sleeping better, which has had a positive impact on the whole household.

In addition, providing a buggy board has been invaluable. It means that when the new baby arrives, Mum will be able to safely and confidently take all of her children out together. This has helped her feel prepared and reassured for what is ahead.

Most importantly, your support has helped Mum regain her confidence. She has now started attending baby and toddler groups, something that previously felt out of reach. She is noticeably happier, more connected, and beginning to rebuild a sense of normality for herself and her children.

Your generosity has made a genuine, meaningful difference to this family’s daily life and wellbeing. It is not an overstatement to say that your support has helped reduce isolation and improve their quality of life during what has been a very challenging period.

We’ve been putting together many uniform packs for new starters - whether that’s in to reception, year 5 or year 7 or children that are new to the area.

We loved putting this pack together for a young boy starting a new school in a new area.

👞With thanks to Sal's Shoes we were able to include a new pair of shiny shoes for him.

✏️With thanks to our Amazon wish list that our followers purchase from, we included some new writing practice books, pens and a drawing pad. English is a second language to him so these items will really help his confidence.

🖇️With thanks to our Tesco drop off in Windsor, we were able to provide enough pairs of trousers and shorts to see him through each week.

💷 With thanks to funding from E Sargeant & Son funeral directors community fund, we were able to buy new polo shirts and shirts for him.

🪥 With thanks to In Kind Direct we were able to purchase a water bottle and toothpaste at a heavily reduced cost.

💙 The saying is it takes a village to raise a child. This collaboration of many people coming together demonstrates just that.
