The Baby Bank

The Baby Bank provides baby and children’s (0-16) clothes and essential equipment to families in need in Berkshire and surrounding areas.

The Baby Bank accepts donations of preloved and new items for babies, toddlers and teenagers. Following referrals by local teams working directly with families and other agencies, we provide baby/child essentials such as cots, buggies, clothes and safety items to families. We throughly check every item to ensure it meets safety standards as well as adhering to our own strict standards. Items that

we cannot accept :
Anything that is broken, stained, damaged or has parts missing
Used mattresses-Safe sleep guidelines
Used car seats -we cannot accept these for safety reasons
Potties and toilet seats-hygiene
Breast pumps or used bottles
Cot bumpers

💙 3 days ago we issued a panic plea.
We had no safe sleeping spaces to regift to little ones.

Since then our community, our fabulous followers, the ones we rely on to make The Baby Bank function, rapidly responded.

In 3 days, we’ve had 15 preloved cots, Moses baskets & cribs alongside these new items that were also delivered (along with 3 new moses baskets & cot bed)

A sincere thank you to each and everyone of you that made the journey to us to donate your preloved item that your little one has slept in. And to those who clicked our Amazon wish list link and bought something new, your generosity and kindness has overwhelmed us.

😔 Tonight, there are little ones who need a safe place to sleep, and we're heartbroken that we currently don't have any cribs, cots/cot beds, Moses baskets, or toddler beds available to give them

We're receiving requests from families facing incredibly difficult circumstances, but our stock has run out. No child should have to sleep on the floor, share an unsafe sleeping space, or go without a bed of their own.

🛏️ If you have a crib, cot/cot bed, Moses basket, or toddler bed that is no longer being used, please consider donating it. What may be taking up space in your home could mean comfort, safety, and a good night's sleep for a child who desperately needs it.

Every donation makes a real difference. Please help us ensure that every little one has a safe place to rest their head.

✨ Our volunteers are the backbone of The Baby Bank. Their commitment, skills, and generosity make it possible for the charity to provide essential items to vulnerable children and families, helping improve lives and giving children a better start.

🧼 Volunteer tasks include sorting, cleaning & checking as well as preparing donated items such as clothing, cots, prams, toys, and toiletries. Their work ensures that families receive safe, high-quality essentials with dignity and care.

🫶 Volunteers spend many hours organising & processing these donations, transforming them from individual contributions into practical support packages for families.

Beyond practical assistance, volunteers demonstrate kindness and compassion.

🪴 SATURDAY 6th JUNE only at in Holyport! 🪴

🎍A beautiful pop up collection of garden & houseplants, including favourites returning from events such as Chelsea in Bloom as well as some display hardware.

💙 All items kindly donated by the wonderful team at and supported by our hosts

🪻Pop along from 11am (there until stock lasts) with all financial donations going to and - two RBWM charities working within the local community to help children thrive through improved mental health and wellbeing support.

We had a special request from a health visitor recently 💜
Alongside some summer essentials, the little 4-year-old girl had just one specific wish... a witch’s outfit! 🧙✨
Of course, our volunteer couldn’t stop there, so she popped in a few extra treats that we hope will make her smile too. 💕
We love helping little ones feel special and bringing a bit of magic to their day! ✨

💙 Something we are frequently asked for at The Baby Bank are prams, strollers and double buggies.

These costly items provide a life line to families who have no other means of transport. Finding the funds for one when are experiencing financial hardship, when you aren’t able to replace the one you had that broke or when you’ve had to flee domestic violence can be a real challenge.

That’s why heavily rely on our community - people like you. Families who no longer need their pram and will happily regift it for another family to reap the benefits of it.

From one family to another, this act of generosity and kindness provides families with the opportunity to get out and about - nursery/school runs, food shops, play parks…

We’re looking for prams that are under 10yrs old, in fully working condition that we can pass on to a a new family in need.

⏰ Our donation days this week (1st week of June) are Wednesday 9:30-12:30, Thursday 6:30pm - 8pm and Friday 9:30-12:30.

This is a list of items we currently have a need for. Please only drop items on these lists due to limited storage.

🚨 Please remember the following to ensure we can accept them when you drop off.
🧼 We kindly ask that all donations are thoroughly cleaned & checked before donating. Items on our needs list will be gifted without delay, so need to be in a good to go condition.
👖 Please can we ask that clothing is freshly washed, checked & that their size sorted in to labelled bags enabling us to regift them quicker.
🛌 Cots & cot beds need to be under 10yrs old with instructions & screws
🕛 Donation days: 9:30-12:30 Monday, Wednesday and Fridays (PLEASE NOTE WE WILL BE CLOSED FOR HALF TERM WEEK 25TH - 31ST MAY AND RESUME NORMAL HOURS MONDAY 4TH JUNE

🧴 We are fortunate to have an additional nappies/toiletries drop off at Craft Coop Windsor. We always say yes please to these. Open packs of nappies are great too.

We are open Thursday 21st May between 7pm - 8pm and able to take donations of the following:

💙 Prams - double, strollers (urgently) & travel systems (under 10 yrs old, clean & fully functioning)
💙 Cots & cot beds - with all the fixtures & instructions (no mattresses please)
💙 Moses baskets with stands (structurally sound & clean)
💙 Cribs - such as Next to Me, Snuzpods.

Please note we can ONLY take the items listed above and only on this one evening date.

Please drop all other items on our normal donation days Mon, Weds & Fri 9:30am - 12:30pm.
