Mr. T’s Quiz Night was back on Friday with 153 people split across 27 teams taking part in this special 10th anniversary quiz night. 4 teams of staff from both schools took part.
Plenty of fancy dress was on show with the Men in Black team winning the best dressed prize and ‘Las Cucharas de Madera’ (the Mexican wooden spoons) runners up. Honorable mention to The Spice Girls team (with super fan in tow) who were also seen bopping in the hall long after the quiz had finished.
Congratulations go to ‘The Tipsy Tubbies’ who won the quiz, ‘Totally T-voted’ who came second with ‘FPJS Punk Rockers’ in third (yet another podium place for a Juniors staff team!). ‘We’re going on a beer hunt’ won the best team name.
The music round culminated with an incredible performance from Take That who are about to go on tour. ‘Back for Good’ and ‘Could it be magic’ have never been seen like that before!
Thank you to everyone who came and supported the quiz night, a massive thanks to ‘Team Bar’ – Tess, Catherine and Sarah, a big thank you to Roberto and his team at Palmieri’s for the lovely food once again and finally thanks to Oakwood Estates for sponsoring this event. The Quiz Night will return in October.
Next up, it’s our second Cheese & Wine evening. Get your tickets soon before they all go….

The Junior Discos were back yesterday with over 225 pupils joining in the fun as DJs King and Sawle played the tunes.
Thank you to all the Juniors staff who stayed behind to help with this event which has helped raise over £1,800 for FPJS.

On Friday night, the Juniors hall hosted an intimate masterclass of wine tasting paired with specialty cheeses and sour-dough bread. The event was run by year 1 dad Matt Mawtus who is Director of Food and Beverage at London’s Michelin-starred HIDE.
Thank you to everyone who supported this new event, as always, we were lucky to have fabulous parents (and one teacher!) join in the evening.

Congratulations go to Infants mum Rosie who correctly guessed that the mystery wine was from Germany, 2024, had less than 10% ABV and was bottled under screw cap. We hope you will enjoy the wine Rosie! 🍷
In addition, we ran a new 100 Board that had a Star Wars theme. The force was strong with Ali who correctly chose Biggs Darklighter to win the star prize – lunch for 2 with sommelier selected wines at HIDE. Carina won the runner prize of a magnum of Bruno Paillard Champagne by choosing Yoda.
Thank you to everyone who came, the event was so successful we will be running a second one in June, date to be finalised.

Next up, it’s the Junior Discos….🪩

Please save the date – Friday 15th May.
It’s the next Mr T’s Quiz Night (fancy dress encouraged) and we’re celebrating 10 years of quiz nights! 🍾We started back in May 2016 (before Donald Trump had got to work) and we have run 16 quiz nights in person and 2 on Zoom. So far, they have raised over £29,000 of profit! Thank you to everyone who has come to one or more of the quiz nights including staff from both the Infants & Juniors. Feel free to share your own highlights.....

The quizzes have always finished with a music round and the Juniors hall have been lucky to be on the world tours of The Backstreet Boys, S Club 7, The Village People and The Spice Girls as well as seeing a rendition of ‘The Time of My Life’ from Dirty Dancing, a couple of Conga’s, The Superman song, ‘Kids from Fame’, ‘Blame it on the Boogie’ and more!

Here are some numbers:
🥂847 – number of bottles of Prosecco consumed
🍿324 – number of packs of Doritos munched
🥤252 – number of cans of diet coke sold
🤔12 – overall number of ‘deliberate mistakes’ that Mr T has put into the quizzes to see if people spot them!
🥇🥈🥉Most times on the podium – John ‘tremendous knowledge’ Wilson

So, for the quiz night in May, you need to:
1) Book the babysitter
2) Get your team together
3) Choose your fancy dress
4) Brush up on your general knowledge
Tickets go on sale on Monday 13th April. Thank you to Oakwood Estates for sponsoring the event.

Gonna be a night to remember! 😍

Our AGM is coming up. Please join us as we hear from Mrs Indge and Mrs Clark on what they have spent FPSA money on over the last year and what is on their wish lists for this year.
In addition, we are looking for new members to join the friendly FPSA team! Why not come along to the AGM to meet some of the team and see how you can help.
