We’re incredibly proud to share that The XC is now officially delivering NICAS Ascend courses 🎉
NICAS Ascend is a nationally recognised climbing progression scheme designed specifically to support young people and adults with additional needs, helping them develop confidence, independence, and climbing skills at their own pace — in a safe, supportive environment.
Being able to run NICAS Ascend through our Absolutely Together programme means we can continue doing what matters most to us:
👉 removing barriers to participation
👉 creating genuinely inclusive experiences
👉 and using climbing as a tool for confidence, wellbeing and growth
Skye Jones, Operations Manager at The XC, said:
