Savethestreetpooches Sri Lanka Your donations are the backbone of our work, vital for the dog's ongoing care, in most cases critical Spaying and neutering is our main objective.

We know it is the best prevention to try and reduce the over population of dogs. Through no fault of their own, the dogs are forced into survival mode, wandering, and scavenging for food, homeless, hungry, often pregnant, and weak. Every day, their indiscriminate breeding results in them experiencing unnecessary pain and suffering from sexually transmitted cancers, the spread of CTVT and diseases

of the reproductive organs. Their life without welfare is fraught with parasites, ticks, viruses, rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and vehicle impacts resulting in terrible suffering, painful disabilities, and death. Their situation increases without spay and neuter intervention. It doesn't end there for these dogs and puppies. These are sentient beings and we at Save the Street Pooches Sri Lanka, take into consideration the terrible hunger and dangers they are faced with every day. Currently we feed over 118 rescued dogs at the shelter and during our twice daily street feeding rounds, we feed over 80 more hungry dogs around the community. The donations and sponsorships we receive for these street dogs are the backbone of our work and the foundation of the dogs vital on-going care, which is, in most cases lifesaving. Through compassionate communication, we reach out and offer the opportunity for individuals and
organizations from all walks of life to become part of the solution on any level that will help to ease the dogs' suffering. To be a part of the global grassroots movement, to help save these dogs. To come together as a community to improve the quality of their lives to prevent this going on. Susan Wells
