The power of community at Christmas...

The Christmas Give and Gift event took place at The Manor Family Hub on Friday 12th December, the event supported 70 families who are currently living in challenging circumstances. In total approx 150 children and young people benefitted from the scheme.

The event running in its third year saw local community groups including Achieving for Children, Abri Housing, The Baby Bank, Tesco, West Windsor Hub and Windsor Lions joining again in partnership to deliver a Christmas shopping event where parents could attend in person and choose gifts for their children, this also included a wrapping service.

The event shows the true power of community engagement with referrals being received from all areas including children's services, education and local community groups.

We recognise that this time of year for many can be additionally challenging so this event aims to alleviate some of that pressure and empower families to decide what their children open on Christmas Day.

We thank all those organisations who contributed and supported the event, particularly The Baby Bank who provided the majority of gifts through their partners, the kind customers of Tesco, Dedworth through their donations and Windsor Lions who provided a very generous amount of vouchers.

We hope all those who attended the event greatly benefitted.

Merry Christmas to all.

Full event information can be found on the I Love Windsor Community Hub website.

✨ Urgent Appeal – Clothing Needed for Family in Crisis✨

Helen* and her three children are currently receiving support from social care after fleeing domestic violence. They had to leave their home very quickly and only have the clothes they were wearing.
The family is now resettling in a new area and urgently need warm, practical clothing for the children.
Unfortunately, our boxes are currently empty, which means we are unable to provide the clothing they need right now.

👖If you have any freshly washed, good-quality warm children’s clothing you could donate this week, we would be so grateful. Every item helps to make sure these children are warm and comfortable as they begin rebuilding their lives.

🏠 Please drop off donations at Unit A2Tectinic Place, Holyport Road, SL6 2YE Monday, Wednesday & Fridays 9:30-12:30.

🙏 Thank you so much for your kindness and support.

✨ Our wonderful friends at are often recruiting for new team members.

They are a charity we work closely with that support people experiencing Domestic Abuse in East Berkshire & South Buckinghamshire and have been operating for more than 45 years.

They are an incredibly dedicated team who offer adults and children emotional and practical advice. Not only keep them safe, but aim to improve their mental wellbeing and ensure they receive free legal advice to enable them to feel empowered and live beyond their crisis.

🙏 Please do contact them directly if you believe you could contribute positively to their team and provide unwavering support to those experiencing domestic abuse.

🎄It’s back! Our popular Christmas Pyjama Appeal where we kindly ask for donations of brand new pyjamas, a selection box & new book in a labelled gift bag for us to gift to local children of newborn age up to sixteen (small/medium & large adults sizes also needed)

🎁 The closing date for these packs is Friday 28th November, however we will advertise if we have any outstanding ages once we’ve had all the orders in. Each year differs in terms of which sizes we need so at the moment all sizes and genders are needed.

🛍 We will be working with our referral partners to distribute our popular pyjama gift bags.

🧒🏼 We expect to have a lot of demand this year so rally friends, family, work teams & let’s make sure no child in our community goes without.

📍 Drop off at our premises Tectonic Place, Holyport, SL6 2YE Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 9:30am-12:30pm

🗓 Please note we are closed for a short break over half term (Monday 27th Oct - Friday 31st Oct)
