🌱🎉 Volunteers' Week Launch Celebration! 🎉🌱

What a fantastic way to begin Volunteers' Week 2026!

Today we were delighted to officially launch our Roots & Shoots Community Garden Volunteering Project, a wonderful partnership between Magherafelt Womens Group, InVOLve House and ourselves at Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre.

This exciting project will transform an unused space into a thriving community garden, bringing people together to grow, learn, share skills, and create something special for the whole community.

The launch marks the beginning of an exciting journey, and during Volunteers' Week it feels especially fitting to celebrate the power of volunteering in creating positive change. Every garden starts with a seed, and every community project starts with people willing to give their time, talents, and enthusiasm.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended today's launch and to all those who have already expressed an interest in getting involved. We look forward to watching this space flourish over the coming months and seeing the friendships, opportunities, and community spirit that grow alongside it.

InVOLve House, Magherafelt are hosting an informative evening exploring the facts behind the screen time headlines for our nursery and primary-aged children.

Delivered by Dr Garth Fulton alongside the Principal of Magherafelt Nursery School, these sessions will offer practical advice, insight and support for parents and carers navigating screen use in young children’s lives.

🌟New Dates for FREE Level 3 Volunteer Management Training🌟

6-Hour Certified Course - provide clear introduction to the core principles of Volunteer Management, suitable for those new to the field and support existing Volunteer Managers to refresh and strengthen their knowledge, build confidence in best practice, and work toward achieving a recognised qualification.

☑️Wednesday 13 & 20 May - 6.45pm-9.45pm (must attend both)

🎯 Learning Outcomes
