Transitions Project - DADS

Transitions Project - DADS The Empower Project has now moved into the second year of its 2-year extension programme funded by the National Lottery Community Fund NI.

The TRansition Project is managed by DADS a community/voluntary organisation that has helped and supported Neurodiverse families & individuals for over 20 years. We continue to pilot the Social Enterprise Concept with a small cost for all the webinars we offer and other activities with an opportunity to take up Empower VIP yearly membership. This is to allow the DADS group to sustain their current

activities after the project ends in 2023 when it is expected that funding may be harder to access. The Empower Project is managed by DADS a community/voluntary organisation that has helped and supported families and their children on the spectrum for over 20 years. We continue to offer the webinars virtually online and are looking at various activities for the children to attend when the time is safe to do so. We will continue to offer coffee mornings/support meetings for parents. We will be organising a major conference later this year to celebrate the success of the Empower Project. DADS & The Empower Project has helped and supported Sunflower Support NI (parents group set up in Ardboe to support families with children on the Spectrum) and Tourette’s Support NI (parents group set up to support and meet the needs of children and young people with Tourette’s). We continue to support these groups as all these families are on the same journey.
