Founded in 1881, The Scottish Kennel Club exists to protect and promote the interests and well-being of dogs in Scotland.

The Scottish Kennel Club is THE place to come for every piece of information you could ever need to do with DOGS. Ever felt like showing your dog, Training Classes in Scotland will show you a list of Ringcraft classes. There you’ll learn how to look after, groom and handle your dog and your dog will make friends. The Club runs two Championship Dog Shows every year. Why not come for a visit and tal

k to the experienced people in the breeds and see the very best dogs. Maybe you want classes to teach obedience. Well, clicking Obedience is where you’ll find a list of classes which can help you from puppyhood to champions. You’ll learn how to teach your dog kindly and your dog can learn how to be a Good Citizen as well as finding out what’s on and where. What about keeping fit with Agility – the dog does the jumps and weaves and tunnels and you do the running. If you click the Agility button, you’ll find pages of classes, forthcoming events and a Beginners’ Guide. Great fun and a great bond with your dog! The Club also runs Working Trials on separate days where dogs must jump, scent and track. Watch the instincts come to the fore and be dazzled by the dogs’ ability. The Club also runs Seminars and has two competitions for Scottish Open Show Dog/Puppy and Scottish Show Dog of the Year together with Scottish Junior Handler of the Year.

TRADE STANDS

Just a reminder to visit the trade stands on site with us. They are open and ready for business. Located in the Highland Hall next to the Best in Show rings.

There is something for everyone:

- sausage rolls, sweets and ice-cream, locally distilled gin, and dog publications for the humans.

- grooming and cleaning products, sharpening services, bedding, mats, first aid kits, dog coats, handmade collars, show accessories, dog treats, toys, sporting dog goods,and food for the canines.

- rosettes and awards

- charitable causes - visit Skye the border collie, on the Search & Rescue Dogs (Scotland) stand, fundraising for a new stretcher; Therapet who will be happy to discuss volunteering opportunities with you, and the Scottish Wildlife Trust

Catering vans are located in the Central Hall and the cafe is open in the Highland Hall foyer
