Over the past 2 days we’ve been kept busy with a mix of Jobs.

We’ve painted posts for Princess Royal Sports & Community Trust, helped clear an overgrown path at the back of Edward Avenue, started work on a pallet bench for a customer, and got stuck into various other woodwork projects 🔨

We also gave the unit a really good tidy and got everything organised. Plenty achieved, well done again team! 👏

A huge thank you to Lucy from Crown Chippy for inviting us along for a free chippy! 🍟❤️
Lucy first invited the team at the start of summer, and they’ve been patiently waiting for her to open back up at lunchtime again — so safe to say they were absolutely delighted with their lunch today! 😋

We took our lunch down to Duff House and enjoyed it in the sunshine ☀️🌳

Work done today also included grass cutting, breaking up pallets and finishing the painting of the fence at Blackpots. 🎨🌱

🌟 This Week at Training Days! 🌟

This week we have been out and about in the community, litter picking at the beach by the bridge, hoeing streets, building planters, transformed an overgrown w**ded area to a neat and tidy chuckied finish and finished and delivered a giant rabbit hutch! 🐰
We also continued painting the sandpit fence at Blackpots, alongside many other tasks and activities throughout the week. 🎨🔨🌱

As always, there was lots of hard work, teamwork and great effort from all of our trainees. It’s fantastic to see everyone getting stuck in and taking pride in the work they do. 👏

With school back next week, we thought we’d tackle the w**ds on Walker Avenue. Another brilliant effort from everyone involved — it’s looking much better! 👏

Joshua also spotted that access to the bins at Old School Place was restricted, so he got straight to work making them more accessible. Great initiative, Joshua! 👏

Thanks to Barry Cheyne for inviting us back to The Spotty Bag Shop for some more lunch! 🙌
The gesture is very much appreciated again. We had some lovely rolls to keep everyone filled up and full of energy! 🥪💪

Over the last couple of days, the team have been busy getting stuck into a variety of jobs, including cutting the hedge back next to Aldi to make the pavement more accessible for pedestrians, servicing some gardens, fitting a gate and plenty of other jobs along the way. 🌿🪴🔨

Love days like these when the team are motivated and we get loads done! 💪

We started the day by splitting into two groups. One group made a final trip for some stones to finish filling the lay-by, which we have helped Banff and Macduff In Bloom transform into a beautiful seaside feature. It’s gone from an overgrown w**d patch to something that really catches the eye. Well done to everyone involved! 👏

The other team headed to Hutcheon Street and got stuck into some serious w**ding, filling plenty of bags along the way.

After a quick break, we all headed to the path from Sandyhill Road to Duff House to help make the path more accessible.

Then after lunch, we managed to service three gardens before calling it a day.

A really productive day, and one that was enjoyed by everyone. Well done team! 👏

🎉 WE’RE FINALISTS! 🎉

We’re delighted to announce that Training Days is a finalist for the Social Enterprise Scotland One to Watch Award! 🏆

What a result and a brilliant recognition of everything that’s been achieved over the last year.

A massive thank you to our staff, volunteers and everyone in the local community who has supported us along the way.

But most importantly, a huge thank you to our trainees. ❤️ You are at the heart of everything we do, and seeing your skills, confidence and achievements grow is what makes Training Days so special.

With the van temporarily out of action, we've been making the most of the last couple of days by getting stuck into some woodwork.

Jacob has almost completed his rabbit hutch, massive congratulations to him! He's done a fantastic job, and the finished result is looking brilliant.

Max showed great initiative again today, keeping himself busy by refurbishing a project he originally made during his school days. It's been great to see him giving it a new lease of life.

The rest of the team cracked on making gates and painting fences, working together and producing some excellent work.

A huge well done to everyone involved.
