The National Breast Imaging Academy has been brought to life, and today, with many other ambassadors, I was invited along to see just what our fundraising has achieved.
With this Academy and state of the art, fully equipped building, more radiographers will be trained in this world-class centre. More mammograms will be carried out. And very Importantly, more women: mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, will be seen, diagnosed, and treated sooner.
This progress is life-changing. It’s lifesaving. It takes our future generations closer to a world without breast cancer.
It’s the only one of its kind in the world, and it’s on our doorstep. The Nightingale Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital, is home to the NBIA, and we’ll be continuing to raise money to fund the vital research that will be taking place here.
Prevent Breast Cancer have been slogging away with our help for the last 6-7 years to make this a reality. But without the support of all of your sharing, sponsoring and donations, it wouldn’t be possible.
