A huge thank you to Woodthorpe Kart Club!

We were delighted to visit Woodthorpe Kart Club today, where Dave and Rio were kindly presented with an incredible £490 raised from their recent cake sale in support of RNLI Mablethorpe. 👏🍰

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who baked, donated, bought cakes and helped make the fundraiser such a success.

Support like this from our local community makes a huge difference and helps us continue to keep our lifeboats ready and our crews prepared to respond whenever they’re needed. 🚤🌊

A massive thank you to everyone at Woodthorpe Kart Club for your generosity and for supporting your local lifeboat station. 💙

💙 A cuppa, a catch-up and supporting your local lifeboat station 💙

Did you know that on the last Thursday of each month, from January to November, the Enterprise Hall in Sutton on Sea hosts a coffee morning in support of RNLI Mablethorpe?

Hosted by the wonderful Sutton on Sea and Trusthorpe Lifeboat Guild, these mornings are a fantastic opportunity to come along, enjoy a cuppa, catch up with friends, browse the mobile lifeboat shop, and take part in the raffle and tombola. 🎟️

Events like these, organised by dedicated members of our local community, play a vital role in helping us continue our lifesaving work. Every cup of tea shared, every item purchased and every raffle ticket bought helps support our volunteers and keeps our lifeboats ready to launch when they are needed most. 🚤🌊

We would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our incredible shop volunteers and fundraisers. Your continued dedication, time and commitment truly make a difference, and it does not go unnoticed. 💙

📅 The next coffee morning will be held on Thursday 29th October, from 10am until 11:30am at Enterprise Hall, Sutton on Sea.

We’d love to see our local community come along, enjoy the morning and help support your local lifeboat station.

Congratulations to Davina, Rachel and Kenny!

We’re delighted to celebrate another fantastic achievement here at RNLI Mablethorpe, as Davina, Rachel and Kenny have all successfully passed out as Launch Vehicle Drivers (LVD)! 👏

The role of a Launch Vehicle Driver is a vital part of our lifesaving operations, helping ensure our lifeboats can be safely launched and recovered, and that our crew are ready to respond when the call comes.

A huge well done to Davina and Rachel, who have successfully qualified on our Tooltrak vehicle which launches our D class lifeboat, and to Kenny, who has qualified on our amphibious launch tractor, otherwise known as a "bendy" - this vehicle launches our Atlantic 85 lifeboat!

Their achievement is a reflection of the dedication, commitment and hard work they have all put into their training.

A special thank you also goes to Regional Assessor Keith for his support, guidance and assessment throughout their training.

Every new qualification strengthens our team and helps us remain ready to launch whenever we’re needed.

Congratulations Davina, Rachel and Kenny — we’re incredibly proud to have you as part of the Mablethorpe Lifeboat Station crew. 💙

💙 Celebrating 73 years of service 💙

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate two very special members of the RNLI Mablethorpe family, who were recently recognised at the RNLI Volunteer recognition awards in Sheffield for their outstanding years of service.

🚤 Antony – 40 years of service
An incredible four decades of dedication to the RNLI — and Antony is still very much part of our team today.

Throughout his 40 years, Antony has served as a crew member on both our D-class and B-class lifeboats. Today, he continues to play an important role as part of our shore crew and as our Admin Officer, sharing the wealth of knowledge and experience gained over four decades of service.

From being out on the water to supporting the station behind the scenes, Antony has given so much to his lifeboat station and the people of Mablethorpe. 💙

🚤 Neil – 33 years of service
Neil was also recognised for an amazing 33 years of service to the RNLI.
After more than three decades of dedication, Neil has now retired from the RNLI to focus on family commitments. We’re incredibly grateful for all the time, effort and commitment he gave to Mablethorpe Lifeboat Station throughout those years.

Two incredible journeys. Two very different chapters. But one shared commitment to the RNLI and to helping keep people safe at sea. 🌊

Congratulations Antony and Neil, and thank you both for an incredible 73 years of service between you.

A huge thankyou to Maureen from Sutton Rovers who visited our station with a kind donation of £400.

Without the support and generosity of our local community, we couldn't continue the lifesaving work, we are so proud to carry out.

Thankyou for your kindness Sutton Rovers, it is very much appreciated 💛
