Our guest today was the Chairman of Lytham Town Trust, David Gill accompanied by his wife, Kay.
David gave us a brief history of the Trust, referring to the celebration of the Trust's 35 year Anniversary, that was celebrated this Wednesday, at the Assembly Rooms in Lytham, also commemorating the Trust's first Chairman, Alan Ashton MBE, the founder of the Trust!
David gave an interesting talk, explaining the beginnings of the Trust and its future! The talk was well received by Rotary members!

Ann and David visited Lytham Dementia Singalong Group yesterday where President David was delighted to present the Group with a donation from the Club for £1,000. David said: “It was a lovely occasion and we were made to feel so welcome and part of their community. It was a meeting full of joy and happiness. I very much look forward to the Club continuing to support them in the future.”

We were delighted to welcome to our April meeting Deborah Terras, CEO of United Youth Alliance. Deborah spoke to us about the really inspiring work being done by UYA in empowering young people in the Fylde to make positive changes in the community and generating opportunities for them. Hopefully this will be the start of a long and productive relationship between the Club and the charity

Rotarians, family and friends attended Lytham Rotary’s 78th Charter evening at Fairhaven Golf club on Thursday.
Following a wonderful meal we were entertained by the guest speaker, Colin Johnston, deputy CEO of the Grand Theatre, who regaled the audience with anecdotes from his various jobs culminating with his current position in Blackpool.

At our lunch meeting last Thursday at our new meeting venue of Lytham Cricket and Sports Club, we were joined by Janet and Verla talking about the super work done by Homestart in helping families across the Fylde. Afterwards we were delighted to be able to support their Easter appeal by presenting them with some 120 Easter eggs.
