From Mercedes to the Valkyries! Gemma is joining our Artistic Director for the second time this year to sing the immortal sisterhood!
🎭 Meet the Forge - British mezzo-soprano and actress Gemma Morsley sings the role of Rossweisse in Opera Forge’s inaugural production of Wagner’s Die Walküre. She has sung with companies across the UK, Europe and the Far East including Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, BBC Proms, Opera Rara, Grange Park Opera, London Festival Opera and Dartington International Festival.
Gemma’s roles include Carmen and Mercedes in Carmen, Amneris Aida, Grimgerde and Rossweisse Die Walküre, Flora and Annina La traviata, Maddalena Rigoletto, Larina Eugene Onegin, Marcellina Le nozze di Figaro, La Ciesca and Zita in Gianni Schicchi, Gertrude Romeo et Juliette, Flowermaiden Parsifal, 2nd and 3rd Ladies Die Zauberflöte, Fruma-Sarah Fiddler on the Roof, Mrs Sowerberry & Mrs Bedwin Oliver! as well as numerous performances from the G&S canon.
