Lymington Lodge No. 7984 was delighted to see W.Bro. Mark Holland installed into the Chair of King Solomon for a second consecutive year, continuing his leadership of the Lodge at the Lymington Masonic Centre.

The evening was made all the more special by the presence of numerous visiting Brethren from across the South West Area of Hampshire & IOW Freemasons, including representatives from the The Knole, Freemasons' Hall, Bournemouth, Christchurch Masonic Centre, and our twinned Lodge in the Province of Dorset, Bleckly Clarke Lodge No. 8290. Their attendance was a wonderful demonstration of the friendship, fellowship and bonds of brotherhood that are at the heart of Freemasonry.

W.Bro. Alun McIndoe once again took on the role of Installing Master, delivering an excellent ceremony with skill, confidence and a welcome touch of humour.

Particular congratulations go to three of our younger Brethren, who each delivered their respective Working Tools presentations with impressive accuracy and confidence:

1st Degree – Bro. Matthew Hawes
2nd Degree – Bro. Carl Peverill
3rd Degree – Bro. Mark Williams

Their performances were a credit to themselves and to the Lodge, demonstrating the importance of mentoring, learning and passing on our Masonic traditions to the next generation.

Our thanks also go to W.Bro. John Blount for delivering the Address to the Wardens, and W.Bro. Steve Bralee for the Address to the Brethren. Both made valuable contributions to a memorable installation evening.

Following the formal proceedings, Brethren gathered for a photograph to mark the occasion before retiring to the festive board, where the fellowship and good company continued.

We wish W.Bro. Mark Holland and his officers every success for the year ahead. May it be a rewarding year of Masonic achievement, friendship, charitable endeavour and continued service to the Lodge and our wider community.

Here’s to another successful year for Lymington Lodge No. 7984!

Hythe Lodge No. 8546 held its first meeting since their Installation meeting in April, with W.Bro. Mark Cox overseeing the Passing of Bro. Jason Whale to the Second Degree of Freemasonry, that of a Fellowcraft.

Bro. Jason demonstrated an excellent understanding of the questions put to him, answering flawlessly before undertaking the ceremony with confidence and composure. His performance was a credit to his preparation and commitment to his Masonic journey.

The South-East Corner was undertaken by the Lodge Chaplain, W.Bro. Mike Thompson, while the Working Tools were presented by the incumbent Junior Warden, Bro. Tony Stedmond.

In a wonderful demonstration of teamwork, shared knowledge and the progressive nature of Freemasonry, six Brethren contributed to the explanation of the Second Degree Tracing Board. A rarely heard introduction was delivered by Bro. Dean Vonlandau of Lymington Lodge, before each of the participating Brethren played their part in bringing this important Masonic lesson to life.

The evening also provided an opportunity to recognise further milestones in the Masonic journeys of two Brethren. The newly appointed Visiting Officer, W.Bro. Gino Cirelli, had the honour of presenting Brethren Bro.’s Anthony Hayward and Brian Marcer with their Grand Lodge Certificates, accompanied by a detailed and informative explanation of their significance within the United Grand Lodge of England.

To conclude an already memorable meeting, Hythe Lodge had the pleasure of balloting for and electing the much-respected W.Bro. Ron Mabey as an Honorary Member of the Lodge. This well-deserved recognition was humbly acknowledged by W.Bro. Ron, reflecting the esteem in which he is held by his fellow Brethren.

An excellent evening of Freemasonry, demonstrating the importance of ritual, learning, fellowship and the enduring bonds that unite our Masonic fraternity.

Hythe Lodge No. 8546 continues to exemplify the values of Freemasonry through its commitment to developing its members, preserving our traditions and strengthening the friendships that make our fraternity so special.

πŸ”Ήβœ¨ A Memorable Evening of Freemasonry at Lentune Lodge No. 8743 βœ¨πŸ”Ή

It was a truly auspicious evening as the brethren of Lentune Lodge No. 8743, together with visiting brethren and distinguished guests, gathered at Lymington Masonic Centre for the installation of W.Bro. Stuart Thompson into the Chair of King Solomon. πŸ‘πŸ”¨

πŸ‘‘ Returning to the Chair of King Solomon for the third time, W.Bro. Stuart is certainly no stranger to the responsibilities and traditions of the Worshipful Master. However, with some 20 years having passed since his last tenure, perhaps a few Masonic cobwebs needed brushing away! πŸ˜„

The outgoing Master, W.Bro. Garry Vidler, conducted the ceremony with great skill and dignity, upholding the traditions and ceremonial excellence that lie at the heart of our wonderful fraternity. Following the Inner Workings, it was then W.Bro. Stuart's turn to take the reins, installing and appointing his officers for the ensuing year as they prepare to guide Lentune Lodge forward.

🍽️ The formalities were followed by a superb Festive Board, where brethren and guests enjoyed excellent food, fellowship, and a series of speeches celebrating the spirit of Freemasonry. In true Masonic fashion, the evening also demonstrated our commitment to charity, with over Β£140 raised for good causes. β€οΈπŸ‘

Freemasonry is built upon friendship, integrity, service, and the desire to make a positive difference in our communities. Evenings such as this beautifully demonstrate those values in action.πŸ™

We extend our very best wishes to W.Bro. Stuart Thompson and his team for a successful, rewarding, and, hopefully, stress-free year ahead! May Lentune Lodge No. 8743 continue to flourish in friendship, fellowship, and charitable endeavour. πŸ”¨πŸ’™

Brethren, the attached poster gives all the details for the official launch of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Poppy Appeal Launch on Thursday 22 October.

It would be great for as many masons to try and attend West Quay Shopping Centre at the time and date advertised to show our support.

This year marks the return of the Hampshire Poppy Appeal Launch to Southampton, and it promises to be a truly special occasion. Our presence as Freemasons, standing alongside the military community in support of those who have served, reflects the values we hold dear as a Province.
