Leading Cadet Rhys turned 18 last week and has officially aged out of Sea Cadets. Tuesday night, he was presented with a frame highlighting the achievements and memories from his time with us as a cadet.

Rhys has decided to stay on as an adult volunteer, so we’re pleased that he’ll still be around the unit and continuing to support the team.

Thank you for all your hard work and dedication over the years, Rhys and welcome to the team!

🎅🎄 Santa came early to T.S. Royal Forest! 🎄🎅

A huge thank you to our anonymous benefactor for their incredibly generous donation, which has allowed us to purchase paddle boards and equipment so our cadets can further explore and develop this exciting discipline.

Tonight also marked our final parade night of the year, which we celebrated in style with a Christmas party, pizza, party games, and a good old sing-along disco to finish things off 🎶🍕

We are incredibly proud of everything our cadets have achieved this year and the confidence, skills, and teamwork they’ve developed along the way. Thank you to every cadet for being part of our team here at T.S. Royal Forest.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic festive break, and we look forward to seeing you all again in January! ✨🎁

Last night, three of our volunteers attended the Severn District Mess Dinner. 🍽️

It was a great opportunity to socialise and network with fellow volunteers from across the district, catching up with familiar faces and making new connections. Thank you to Severn District for hosting an enjoyable evening. 👏

Today, the Forest Of Dean Sea Cadets (TS Royal Forest) are proudly on deck at Tesco Superstore and out in the town, helping with the Poppy collection and spreading the spirit of remembrance.

A huge thank you to this fantastic team for their dedication and community spirit, and of course to everyone who’s stopped by to show support. Every poppy makes a difference.

A huge congratulations to our Commanding Officer, Chief Petty Officer (SCC) Toni Salmon BEM, who has successfully passed her Chief Petty Officer promotion board this weekend!

This achievement reflects her continued dedication, professionalism, and commitment to both the Sea Cadets and our unit. We’re all incredibly proud and grateful for her leadership and the example she sets for both cadets and staff.
