🏛️ Lydd Town Museum is Open This Sunday! 🏛️

Looking for a great way to spend Sunday afternoon? Pop in and discover the fascinating history of Lydd and the Romney Marsh!

This Sunday is our regular first Sunday of the month opening, and it’s actually our penultimate open day before we close after November for our winter break (we won't be re-opening until March 2027!). Don’t put it off for another year—come along and explore the area you live in or just the area you love.

🏛️ First Sunday of the Month Open Day – This Sunday, 6th September! 🗓️

What a brilliant summer it has been! A huge thank you to everyone who dropped in to see us over the school summer holidays—our volunteers loved welcoming so many locals and holidaymakers through the doors on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays! ☀️

As promised at the beginning of the year, we've been working hard to open our doors more often than in previous years, and the autumn season is no exception.

We are back to our regular schedule starting this Sunday, 6th September of our First Sunday of the Month open days.

🍂 Autumn Open Days & Winter Break Schedule
If you haven't had a chance to visit yet—or want to bring friends and family along—we have three regular open days remaining before we close for our winter break:
🗓️ Sunday 6th September (2:30pm – 5:00pm)
🗓️ Sunday 4th October (2:30pm – 5:00pm)
🗓️ Sunday 1st November (2:30pm – 5:00pm)

After November, the museum will be closed for its annual winter hibernation - so the museum team can prepare for next year!

First of all, our apologies for the slight delay in announcing this month's winner! We hope everyone had a fantastic bank holiday weekend—things got a little busy over the long weekend, but we are back and ready with the big reveal!
