This Saturday we look forward to Luton’s 30th annual Peace Walk starting at St Mary’s on Saturday. From here the walkers will move in a wonderful multicultural mix to the Sikh Gurdwara on Dallow Road and then to Central Mosque on Westbourne Road. The walk, organised by Luton Council of Faiths, is never about worship, but an expression of our and our partner locations desire to be good neighbours in the town. As a mark of that participants will be invited to tie a ribbon on our Tree of Hope, and as the walk leaves the bells will ring in celebration.

Do join us from 1.15pm for a refreshments in preparation for the start of the programme at 1.45pm.

Discover nearly 900 years of history as St Mary's Church once again opens its doors for Heritage Open Days 2026.

As Luton's only Grade I listed building, St Mary's has stood at the heart of the town for centuries and offers a unique chance to explore one of Luton's most treasured landmarks.

Making sure this is at the top of your must-do activities this weekend and through next week!
All the Tower Tours are booked (we have to limit numbers for health and safety reasons) but we will seek to put some more on over the next few months.
There is still room on the tours of the church.
And of course you are always welcome to pop in, join one of the two short devotional services, grab a coffee and chill in a quiet corner, or live out your lifetime fantasy of being a knight in armour!
