Programme of the Day:
10:00 AM - Nitya Shrungar Aarti

Luton Hindu Mandir warmly invites all Mataji's bhaktos and families to join us in celebrating the sacred day of Dusshera, also known as Vijayadashami.

Dusshera commemorates the cosmic victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura, symbolizing the ultimate triumph of dharma, divine wisdom, and righteousness over ego and negativity. To honor this divine victory, we perform the holy Durga Mahayagnaβ€”a powerful Vedic fire ritual designed to offer gratitude, cleanse our spiritual environment, and invoke the supreme Mother's protective energy into our lives and homes.

As the Mahayagna concludes with the final Ahuti and we perform Mataji's Viday, we lovingly bid farewell to the Mother Goddess, thanking Her for Her presence and grace throughout Navratri and asking Her to dwell in our hearts eternally.

Please join us with your family to participate in the yagna, receive Mataji's blessings during Aarti, and stay for Bhojan Mahaprasadi. All are welcome.

Navratri honors the supreme power of Goddess Durga and the victory of good over evil. The divine dance of Garba represents the ultimate circle of life, moving around the central divine flame or idol of Mataji, reminding us that while the world around us continually changes, the Divine Energy at the center remains timeless and constant. Expressing our devotion through dance and music helps us align our minds and hearts with Shakti, bringing peace, strength, and joy into our lives.

We are delighted to welcome back Sur Musiq to lead us in lively Garba and Raas melodies every single night. Come along with your dandiyas, dress in your traditional attire, and join our vibrant community in praising Maa Ambe.

Let us gather to seek Mataji's blessings together. Everyone is welcome!

We warmly invite you and your family to join us at Luton Hindu Mandir for our autumn and winter festival season! The upcoming months from October to December 2026 are filled with sacred celebrations, divine worship, and uplifting community gatherings.

Our festival season begins with Navratri, a sacred nine-night festival dedicated to honoring the Divine Mother Durga in her various manifestations, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil, spiritual renewal, and inner strength. We will observe Durgashtami and perform the holy Durga Mahayagna to invoke divine blessings, protection, and prosperity for all devotees. Sharad Purnima follows, marking the auspicious full moon night associated with divine love and health, while Karva Choth brings families together in prayer and fasting for longevity and marital harmony. In November, we celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and truth over ignorance, alongside Sharda Puja for wisdom and blessings. This is followed by Annakut Mahotsav, where an offering of devotion and gratitude is presented through a grand feast, as well as Jalaram Jayanti honoring selfless service and faith. We conclude the season with Tulsi Vivah, celebrating the ceremonial marriage of the sacred Tulsi plant to Lord Vishnu, and our community Bhajan Bhojan gathering.

Join us for our Bhajan Bhojan event on Saturday, 26th September 2026, from 3:30 PM till 7:00 PM at Luton Hindu Mandir, Hereford Road, Luton, LU4 0PS.

We are delighted to feature devotional musical renditions by Bhajan Mandal Abhishek Pandya with Abhirang (London). This divine gathering is kindly sponsored by Shree Mansukhlal and Shreemati Nirmalaben Mehta and Family.

In Hindu tradition, singing Bhajans is a powerful path of Bhakti (devotion) that purifies the mind, uplifts the heart, and fosters inner peace. Gathering in Satsang -communal spiritual discourse and music - allows us to collectively experience divine grace and strengthen our ties as a community. Following the musical devotional session, sharing Bhojan (mahaprasad) represents togetherness, equality, and selfless service. Eating sanctified food together nourishes both the physical body and the soul, reinforcing our bonds of friendship and devotion.

We warmly invite you, your family, and friends to spend an uplifting afternoon in devotion and fellowship. All are welcome to join and partake in the blessings.
