Thanks to your incredible support, generosity and good spirits, we’re absolutely delighted to have raised an amazing **£6,000**! 🚤👏

Loch Lomond Rescue Boat were tasked today by Police Scotland at 15:40, at the urgent request of the Scottish Ambulance Service, to assist with a medical emergency on the West Highland Way near Ardleish.

Our volunteer crew launched immediately and once on scene, worked alongside colleagues from the Scottish Ambulance Service, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, National Park Rangers and Police Scotland.

The crew were stood down and returned to base at 18:50.

JOINT TRAINING EXERCISE

Our volunteer crew launched on a multi-agency training exercise last Sunday at Inchtavannach Island alongside Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team and Loch Lomond National Park Rangers.

The scenario involved two casualties who had become separated and fallen, sustaining traumatic injuries in a remote location. The exercise allowed all teams to practise casualty care, conduct a coordinated search for a missing casualty, and carry out a planned extrication using rope rescue techniques.

This exercise provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen inter-agency working, communication, and decision-making in a challenging environment.

Training like this ensures that when real incidents occur, all agencies can work seamlessly together to deliver the best possible outcome for those in need.

July was a busy month for Loch Lomond Rescue Boat.

Throughout the month of July our dedicated volunteer crews responded to 33 emergency callouts across Loch Lomond. These incidents included medical emergencies, broken down vessels, stranded paddleboarders, and a variety of other situations where people needed urgent assistance.

To keep our rescue boat operational during this exceptionally busy period, we spent just under £3,000 on fuel alone, while our incredible volunteer crew contributed X hours of their own time to ensure help was always available when it was needed most.

Every shout is only possible thanks to the commitment of our volunteers and the generosity of those who support us.

Loch Lomond Rescue Boat were tasked yesterday 24/07/26 at 10:47 at the request of Scottish Ambulance Service to attend a Cardiac arrest on the West Highland Way north of Rowardennan.

On scene whilst some of our crew & National park rangers continued resuscitation attempts, the Rescue boat & National park boats played a vital part collecting & transferring emergency service personnel to scene.

We worked along side colleagues from Scottish Ambulance Service, EMRS, Police Scotland & National park rangers before standing down at 15:09

Our thoughts are with the family & friends of those involved
