Earlier this week we welcomed the wonderful Dame Joanna Lumley and Suzy Aitchison to open the footbridge from the car park to our fabulous Dame June Whitfield Centre, and the Centre itself. The Centre, along with our minibus, will provide activities and services for our local residents to socialise, learn new skills, keep fit, etc. The plaque was suitably covered by Frankie Howerd’s own scarves. A great afternoon was had by all, and the Trust would like to thank all those who helped build the Centre, provided services and grants, and Kieran and his staff who gave our guests a delicious buffet with champagne.
