GB7YL is operating as a dual mode repeater.

This means that it is not connected to the network but can be used as a stand alone repeater in DV and analogue mode

The logic is fairly basic with no courtesy tone and a short hangtime.

In order to use the repeater in analogue mode please set your radio with a ctcss of 94.8hz encode and decode.

We welcome any signal reports both written and video

Kindly regards

**************GB3YL Update**************
We are pleased to report that the updated eprom has been fitted to the repeater so the CTCSS is now working again in beacon mode.
Your radios should now work again with tone squelch on.

Don't forget the friendship & checkin nets still run every Monday evening on GB3YL from 19:30 until 20:30ish
The net is open to anyone so please feel free to join us this evening on the new wide split frequency (signal reports welcome)

******** Update on GB3YL *********
For information we have discovered that although the repeater requires 94.8Hz CTCSS to open, it's not currently transmitting the same tone on the output.
In the meantime please don't set the tone squelch on your radios, otherwise you won't be able to receive the output audio.
Our team will address this in the near future.

What a day to be at the repeater site for GB3YL & GB7YL! Perfect also for seeing the last section of the new bridge moved into position!

More importantly, GB3YL is now back on air on the new output frequency of 430.875 Mhz with an input of 438.475 Mhz. Don't forget the CTCSS is still 94.8Hz
Please be advised that this is a work in progress and further site visits will be necessary in the near future.

Thanks to the repeater keeper and repeater group members for the support.
Please also remember that if you use GB3YL or any of our other repeaters then annual subscriptions help massively to keeping the repeaters on air.
