We're on the look out for companies that can provide a quote for installing a bouldering wall.
The panels are part of a kit, however, we would need posts and a frame constructed to attach the panels to.
I'm happy for interested companies to meet at our HQ where we would be installing it. I also have installation instructions from the company supplying the panels.

It is with immense sadness that I have to announce the passing of our Group Lead Volunteer and 2nd Carlton Colville Scout Group stalwart David Greenacre.
David's involvement with 2nd Carlton spans 5 decades, over which time he has influenced and shaped the lives of many young people, including my own, and fellow current leaders. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sylvia, John, Tony and their family at this incredibly difficult time. The term legend is banded around too often, but David, you were truly one. We promise to continue keep Scouting at the heart of the community in your honour.

First time at Brownsea Island for our Scouts and some of the leaders.
It was a great experience and good to see the places that we've all talked about for years. In places you could have thought we were in the Med!

It is with great sadness that we have been informed of the passing of former Scout Harvey Sheen.
Harvey was a much-valued member of the 2nd Carlton Colville Scout Group and our District. He proudly represented both the Group and the District at the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023, creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Harvey also achieved his Chief Scout's Gold Award before moving on to Explorers, a fantastic accomplishment that reflected his dedication, commitment and enthusiasm for Scouting.

On behalf of the 2nd Carlton Colville Scout Group and The Scout Association, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Harvey's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved him.

Harvey's family have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for his funeral. If you are able to support them, no matter how big or small your donation may be, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for keeping Harvey and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Yours in Scouting,

This morning I met Maya who is undertaking her Great British Scout Hut Challenge.
Maya has spent the week travelling the east of England visiting as many Scout huts as possible to raise funds for her World Scout Jamboree trip to Poland next year.
We were Scout Hut 185!! Well done Maya.

Recently the group was made aware that the defibrillator located on the front of the building had pads that were out of date and not replaceable, meaning the equipment was not fit for use.
Following the award of £950 from East Suffolk Council we have now been able to replace the defibrillator with a new model meaning this vital piece of life saving equipment is again available should it be needed by the local community.

A big thank you to PC Thompson of Suffolk Police for joining us at Scouts last night and delivering an engaging VR session focused on knife crime.
It was a powerful, immersive experience that tackled a very real and relevant issue for young people today. Sessions like this are so important in helping our Scouts understand the challenges they may face, while encouraging them to think carefully about the choices they make.
By openly acknowledging the realities our children are growing up in, we can better support and guide them to make positive, informed decisions. Thank you again for such a valuable and impactful evening.
