A big thank you to PC Thompson of Suffolk Police for joining us at Scouts last night and delivering an engaging VR session focused on knife crime.
It was a powerful, immersive experience that tackled a very real and relevant issue for young people today. Sessions like this are so important in helping our Scouts understand the challenges they may face, while encouraging them to think carefully about the choices they make.
By openly acknowledging the realities our children are growing up in, we can better support and guide them to make positive, informed decisions. Thank you again for such a valuable and impactful evening.

First visit in a while for our Scouts at Eaton Vale Scout and Guide Activity Centre , and what a great weekend, albeit a little chilly at times! The Scouts had an opportunity to try some new activities which we're sure they'll be taking part in again. We we're really impressed with their determination to try something new and face their fears.

A huge thank you to Carlton Colville Men's Shed who gave up their time this evening to help the Scouts with building bird boxes. The Scouts thoroughly enjoyed putting the boxes together using various tools.
We'll be distributing the boxes throughout the community over the next couple of weeks.

What a great morning! The Scout section welcomed residents from Carlton Hall Residential Home & Village , family and local residents to their community coffee morning. It was great to talk with everyone about what the scouts get up to and to give people an opportunity to try some activities, look at photos and enjoy a good natter. The last photo here is great, showing that you're never too old to try something new!

✨ A huge thank you from 2nd Carlton Colville Scout Group ✨

We are extremely grateful for the donation of a Bleed Kit, which is now safely housed in our Defib cabinet outside the hall.

🙏 Special thanks go to Councillor Jenny Ceresa for funding this vital piece of equipment and to Michelle from MJ Training for kindly supplying and delivering it to us. Your support helps us keep our community safer.

🩹 What is a Bleed Kit and why is it important?
Bleed control kits are designed to help save lives in emergencies by giving people the tools they need to treat severe bleeding until professional medical help arrives. Having one accessible in our community means that in the event of an accident or injury, immediate action can be taken to stop life-threatening blood loss.

We’re proud to have this kit available and ready to support our community should the need ever arise. 💚

Following on from Beavers, our Scouts were learning about the fire triangle and how to light fires safely.
They were taught different fire building techniques and how they help start a fire. They also practiced different methods of lighting fires, with matches, flint and steel, and different combustible materials.

Tonight, our Beavers have been learning about first aid. They've discussed what to do in an emergency, who to call, and what to say. They've also practiced putting someone in the recovery position and bandaging a wound.
