This. Right. Here. I don’t care where in the world you live, bullying IS bullying.

I just typed up a good few lines of words about feelings but you know what, people should not have to have someone tell them what their words and actions.. sorry “banter” can have on others.

Being nice costs absolutely fu*king nothing!

💬 July is Talk To Us Month 💜

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply start a conversation.

Whether you're struggling with your mental health, feeling overwhelmed, or just having a difficult day, you don't have to carry it all on your own. Reaching out isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of courage.

Equally, if someone you care about doesn't seem themselves, checking in with a simple "How are you, really?" could make all the difference. You don't need to have all the answers. Listening without judgement can be incredibly powerful.

At Su***de Awareness & Prevention UK (SAP;UK), we believe that every conversation matters. Talking openly about mental health helps reduce stigma, encourages people to seek support, and reminds others that they are not alone.

💜 Start the conversation.
💜 Listen with compassion.
💜 Check in on your loved ones.
💜 Reach out if you need support.

If you need someone to talk to, our trained volunteers are here to listen in a safe, confidential and non judgemental space. Simply send us a message on Facebook.

Remember, your voice matters.
Your story matters.
Your story isn't over.

“Mental health is in many ways the issue of our times.” – Andy Burnham, 2022

We couldn’t agree with him more.

We welcome the new Prime Minister and urge him to make mental health a priority.

This is what his Labour government must do to tackle “the issue of our times”:

1) Provide same-day open access to mental health:

Too many people are left waiting while their mental health gets worse. We are calling for same-day access to mental health support, so people can get help when they need it, not weeks or months later.

2) Make the online world and AI safer for mental health:

We want the UK government to work with us to build on the work we’ve started through our AI Commission, Mental Health in the Age of AI.

3) Listen carefully to mental health experts (like us!) and those with lived experience of mental health problems:

We’re ready to work with the new Prime Minister to make sure everyone can get safe, effective mental health support that's right for them, when they need it.

Hearing Dad scream your name that morning is a sound that will never leave me, my soul left my body the moment i heard it, the moment I ran in became a blur for a long long time but 10 years of therapy will bring bits back to you, bring those early feelings back as if it happened a second ago, over and over again, every single second of every single day.

I have what I call “my tv” it’s a video in my mind, asleep or awake it stays there and has done for 10 whole years, for 120 Months, for 520 Weeks, for 3650 Days that morning plays over and over and over again, it never stops playing, it has been on a loop ever since.

Many run from their nightmares but not me, I run towards them because it’s all I have left. I run towards them, towards the memory of seeing you lie there but you didn’t have a smile for me, you always had a smile for me, for everyone but that day you just looked asleep. I remember brushing your hair from your face so I could tell Dad he got it wrong, you were just asleep.. how wrong I was.

I have been told that the guilt I carry is wrong, that I have nothing to feel guilty about but I do, of course I do, my daughter who I claim to be “so close with”. I should have known how she was feeling, as a mother I should have known.
If it were your child, would you have known before it happened? Would you have been quick enough?

Today is double digits,10 whole years since I saw your beautiful face.
Heard your beautiful laugh.
Held you in my arms.
Listened to you giggling with Adam about something random.
Watched on as you had tea parties with Molli instead of hanging with your friends because you were the most amazing big sister to her and because of your love and guidance with her, it has made her be just as incredible to Madison as you was to her.

Not a day goes by that you are not on my mind.
Not a day goes by where I do not shed a tear.
Not a day goes by where i do not smile at the thought of you having a giggle and being silly.
Not a day goes by where I wish I could hold you again just one last time, to let you know just how much you mean to me.

I haven’t and I will never recover from this.
I haven’t and I will never move on.
I find different ways of coping with it, sometimes tears, sometimes anger, sometimes silence, sometimes aggression, sometimes I scream, sometimes I breakdown on bended knees begging for you to come back but I know, I know deep down you aren’t coming back.

I don’t know if I believe in god but I have to because I have to believe we WILL be reunited once again. So please wait for me because one day I hope and I pray and I have prayed on bended knees every damn day that you will be in my arms once again.

I love you with every fibre of my being and my love for you only gets stronger with every passing second.

To my beautiful first born I love you forever and a day ♥️

In a few days time this photo will be 10 years old.. and it’s not fu***ng fair!!

I would like to apologise to those who have sent messages recently, although I’ve already said this to some, more messages have come through while I’ve been typing this…

I hope you can all understand I’m not very good at this time and it’ll be a little while until I have my head back, please if you would be patient with me, I will get back to all of you..
Of course all those who have needed emergency intervention i have shown them the way to the right professionals needed and they’ve all gotten the help they required which is always amazing ..and a massive relief to hear.

When you have someone tell you “I didn’t take my own life because of your daughter”, I can’t even begin yo explain how emotional it makes us all feel and knowing Jess’s story has helped others is an incredible blessing and I know Jessica would be so proud of those people.. I just know it.

Lotsa Love Everyone ❤️
