Forró Family Forró Family run classes and dance parties every Saturday. Come and learn the Brazilian partner dance which is becoming so popular all over the world.

Forró Family is an independent forró organisation that aims to promote all aspects of the Brazilian forró culture - live bands, DJ's and different forró dance styles. As well as our regular Saturday nights with dance classes and music, we also run occasional workshops, weektime dance classes and even an annual forró festival!

Hello all you Forró lovers..
We just wanted to share, as it's rare that we have SOOO much fun on one single weekend in London..

On this coming May bank holiday, 1st-3rd, we have 3 great Forró nights, with live music at all of them!!

Come come - Ask a friend if you can crash on their couch, and let's dance forró until whenever (no cows in London)..!

Forró is a beautiful partner dance where connection with your partner is the key to enjoyment.

Each Saturday we organise light hearted fun lessons where you can learn the basic steps, feel the rhythm and learn to flow around the dance floor. They are also a great way of making new friends so no need to bring a partner.

Want to try partner dancing but don’t know where to start?
Forró Family is the perfect place! We’re a friendly, welcoming community bringing Brazilian forró to London every Saturday, with relaxed beginner & improver classes followed by a social dance party full of great music and good vibes.

No partner or experience needed — just come as you are and we’ll guide you through the basics so you are ready to party. It’s all about connection, fun, and meeting new people in a warm, inclusive space.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT!

set the stage on fire together with a magic ensemble - delivering some deep rhythms of Brazil.

We’d like to thank all of you came to support us, making this one of the most enjoyable evenings !

Thanks also to all the support from our incredible Forró Family team - Linda, Gio, Andre, Johnny, and all the volunteers who made the night possible. Teachers and .o.carvalho delivered classes to a packed room, inspiring new forrozeiros to get on the dance floor.

Carol Benigno is a beautiful singer and sanfoneira player. She will be flying in from Lisbon for the exclusive London show which she will be performing alongside Betão on triangle and Guilhermino on Zabumba.

She played at Forró Family last year and it was such a well received gig that we could not wait to invite her back
