Hello again from Daniel's Kitchen CIC 💛
It’s been a little while since we last posted… but behind the scenes, we’ve still been doing what we do best — showing up for our community…

Today’s meals going out were:

🎄 A Wonderful December Partner for Daniel's Kitchen CIC🎄

We are absolutely delighted to share that
Alfredo Lounge have chosen Daniel’s Kitchen as their charity for the whole of December. 💛

Throughout the month, their amazing team will be:
✨ Hosting a collection box on the bar for anyone wishing to drop in a Christmas gift or essential items for the people we support
✨ Taking part in a series of sponsored events to help raise funds
✨ Spreading huge amounts of festive kindness on our behalf…

If you’re passing by, please do pop in — even the smallest donation can make the biggest difference. And while you’re there, why not treat yourself to something from their brilliant menu? It’s the perfect excuse for a cosy drink, a bite to eat, and a little Christmas goodwill all in one go. 🌟

💛Community Commitment Compassion💛

We couldn’t end today without shouting about the incredible local businesses who make everything we do possible. And apologies to anybody on the cusp of lunch and seeing our pictures 😋😋

Behind every meal cooked at Daniel's Kitchen CIC, there’s a story — and these are some of the heroes in ours 👇

🍷 Peppercorn Cafe.. for their slow-cooked Coq au Vin, melt-in-the-mouth Honey Roast Ham, and hearty Pork Casserole that brought warmth (and seconds!) all round.
🍝 AUGUSTINO Ltd… for their stunning, flavour-packed pasta dish that never fails to hit the spot.
🐟 Hunters Fish & Chips Louth.. for keeping our Fish & Chip Friday tradition alive in award-winning style — golden, crisp, and full of heart.

Each of these partners shows what community looks like when it’s done right: giving quietly, supporting consistently, and helping us feed those who need it most.

So here’s our unapologetic shout-out of gratitude 💛 — because without you, these meals don’t happen.

🥕A Little Act of Kindness.. A Big Difference🥦

And we are not done sharing our joy.. Today we want to shine a light on Linda — a complete stranger who turned an ordinary shop into something extraordinary 💚

While picking up our fruit and veg from the wonderful team at Stevensons Fruit and Veg, Louth, Linda overheard that we were from Daniel's Kitchen CIC… and quietly paid for our shopping. Just like that — no fuss, no fanfare, just pure kindness.

Moments like this remind us what community truly means. One small gesture can feed dozens, warm hearts, and keep hope alive.

🌿 From the DK Kitchen… with love (and spice!) 🌿

It’s been a little while since we last shared an update — but the ovens haven’t been quiet..

This week’s dishes reminded us just what a team effort kindness can be 💛
Today’s meal: a South African Bobotie — baked curried mince with egg and bread, paired with steamed veg — rich, fragrant, and full of comfort.

Last week we served slow-cooked brisket (eight hours of love and patience!) followed by Monika Garrido’s divine chocolate sponge dessert — the kind of pudding that makes everyone smile. 🍫

A huge thank you to Nicky Haxby, whose incredible busking donations made these meals possible. Every note played, every coin dropped, every cheer from the crowd — it all turns into nourishment for someone who needs it most.

Daniel's Kitchen CIC might post less often these days, but our mission is as alive as ever: feeding community, one meal at a time. 💛

🎶✨ An Evening of Words and Music in Support of Daniel's Kitchen CIC✨🎶

We’re so grateful to the Troubadours of Louth for choosing to support us at their upcoming event.

📅 4th October
🕢 7.30pm
📍 Conoco Room, Louth Library

Join them for an evening of poetry, music and creativity – admission is free, with donations kindly welcomed for Daniel’s Kitchen. 💛

This is their very first time bringing the event to Louth, and it promises to be every bit as enjoyable as their Great Carlton evenings (just a little shorter!).

Come along, soak up the words and music, and support your community at the same time. 🌟

A little late sharing, but on Friday our community was treated to a tasty Thai curry with a fresh pak choi salad 🥬🌶️.

🍴 Today’s community meal from Daniel's Kitchen CIC is a real treat – smoked bacon quiche paired with a colourful autumn salad 🍂🥗 featuring crisp apples kindly shared from BGU and earthy beetroot fresh from a local allotment…🤗

And of course, no meal is complete without a cheeky sweet treat to finish 🍫✨

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who makes these meals possible – from growers to cooks to volunteers. Together, we’re keeping community spirit strong 💛

💚 Today’s Meal at Daniel's Kitchen CIC 💚

This afternoon we were proud to serve up a wonderful garlic chicken with all the trimmings – wholesome, hearty and made with love. Alongside, everyone received a sweet little chocolate treat to brighten the day 🍫✨.

We also prepared fruit bags with a difference 🍎🍌🍊 – designed to last a few days, giving our community healthy, nutritious options to enjoy beyond today’s meal.

It’s more than food – it’s care, kindness and nourishment, ensuring no one is forgotten. Thank you to everyone who supports us in making this happen week after week. 💛
