Girlguiding Loughborough

Girlguiding Loughborough We represent Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Ranger units (and their volunteers!) in Loughborough and the surrounding area.

Volunteers in Girlguiding Loughborough, offer girls aged 5 - 18 a safe space and the opportunity to discover new things and grow. They go to their first ever sleepover, canoe on rivers, learn about body confidence, lead their own camp, or simply have fun and try new things with girls their age.

On Saturday almost 200 members of Girlguiding Loughborough took part in a celebration of 100 years of World Thinking Day. The Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers enjoyed some active games, making glass art and a pamper zone with photo booth, nail painting and friendship bracelets. Thank you to all the Leaders who helped organise a brilliant event!

We've received this message from a researcher at Loughborough University. If your Guide Unit would like to take part please contact Busra directly.

My name is Busra and I’m a Doctoral Researcher at Loughborough University. We’re running a short creative mapping activity with young people (aged 10-17) where they design their ideal school eating environments. The same session is already planned with a local Scouts group, and I wondered if it might also fit into one of your upcoming Guides meetings. The activity takes around 30 to 40 minutes and is a fun mapping exercise.
I’d be happy to share more details if you’re interested. Thank you very much!
