One of the many perks of being a part of the PAC is opportunities to fish places with a group of lads that would be tough to get on to otherwise and that’s exactly what Oli and Ste did yesterday.
Having the opportunity to fish a carp fishery in Kettering, Rosewater Fishery, with pike up to 32lb was on our list for this weekend. A shallow venue but full of w**d beds and deeper holes making it ideal for pike to thrive.
8am arrival, jumped in the boat and only after 30 mins of fishing, Oli had the first hit of the day, it definitely filled us with hope! especially with how text book the conditions were, overcast, low pressure, mild temps… lures were our go to!
As the day drew on, fishing likely areas, moving around and covering water, the fishing remained tough. A greedy Jack took Ste’s line through trout next to the boat but unfortunately this was the only fish to come aboard all day. 5 hits in total between us both but only 1 fish. Unfortunately that’s fishing, but fishing places like this, there’s every chance it could be a 20lber.
Throughout the season the PAC run plenty of events on formidable venues such as Chew, ethswaite, menteieth, and much more. If you’re wanting to learn more about the PAC, you’re more than welcome to message us or come along to the social on the 27th December.
