It was great to be part of the recent community health event at Braunstone Town Council, hosted by Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland.

Our EmpowHER walking group ladies recently enjoyed a walk, taking in the colourful plants and flowers around the local area 🌸

The walk ended with a Tour of the Generator, followed by a tote bag designing workshop where everyone had the chance to get creative and spend time together in a relaxed environment.

Activities like these are a great way to support wellbeing, encourage movement, and create space for connection through shared experiences.

Our Project Officers recently held an interactive information stand at Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre, engaging with more than 50 attendees from the local community.

The team promoted and demonstrated the VITA Health wellbeing activity book, which proved really popular with visitors and sparked lots of conversations around mental wellbeing and self-care.

The session also provided a valuable opportunity to connect with other health promotion staff and explore future collaboration opportunities 🤝

A fantastic morning at Wesley Hall this week, where two of our Project Officers delivered an interactive information stand focused on mental wellbeing and NHS Talking Therapies.

With 30+ attendees, there were some really positive conversations throughout the session, including 4 direct referrals to NHS Talking Therapies. Some attendees also asked about simple wellbeing activities they could do at home, and our team shared ideas alongside VITA wellbeing activity booklets 🌿

We’re pleased to now be attending the Wesley Hall coffee morning regularly on every 2nd Monday of the month.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Health & Wellbeing Event, and to all of the organisations who partnered with us to make it possible 🌿

It was a really positive afternoon filled with valuable conversations, connections and shared support for the community.

It was great to see so many people engaging with local services and finding out more about the support available to them.
