Our NHS Talking Therapies Project Officer recently joined the Coffee Morning at Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre, speaking with local people about mental health and the support available through the service.

Mental health support can be available, but that doesn’t mean everyone feels able to access it.

Language, stigma, cultural expectations and lack of trust can all create barriers, particularly for communities that remain under-represented in mental health services.

That’s why our work with NHS Talking Therapies is so important – helping more people understand the support available and feel confident taking that first step.

This World Mental Health Day, we’re continuing to help close that gap and make mental health support easier to reach 💚

This week, our Equality Action team came together for our latest staff meeting, providing an opportunity to review current work across our projects and services and discuss priorities for the months ahead.

Regular team meetings are an important part of keeping our different areas of work connected, sharing progress and ensuring we continue to respond effectively to the needs of the communities we support.

A productive session and a valuable opportunity to bring the whole team together.

A brilliant day at Loughborough College! 💜

Two of our Project Officers joined more than 200 attendees at FREDIE Day, getting students involved in conversations around equality, mental health, wellbeing and participation.

❤️ Our heart-decorating activity opened up conversations about mental health and gave us an opportunity to raise awareness of NHS Talking Therapies and the support available.

🗳️ Students also had their say on the types of social activities they would like to see for young women in Loughborough, helping us gather ideas that can inform future activities.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, got creative and shared their views with us!

Join us for an afternoon of bracelet making, drinks and good company, with plenty of time to get creative, chat and meet new people in a relaxed space.

What a start for InspireHer! ✨

We recently held our very first InspireHer event, Sip & Sketch, and we were delighted to see all 20 places filled.

The evening brought young women together for a relaxed creative workshop led by Pencil Club, alongside desserts from Baked & Bloom and plenty of refreshments.

InspireHer is a new part of our EmpowHER Project, creating opportunities for young women to connect, build confidence, explore their interests and help shape future activities.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first event – this is just the beginning for InspireHer! 💜
