Oaks Spring Fair Monday 25th May, 2026
As the event is held on a field the best address to use to find it is - St James the Greater Church, Oaks in Charnwood, LE12 9YD. From here the field entrance will be clearly sign posted.
Joining Instructions as follows:-
9.45am - 3pm
REMEMBER: Please bring packed lunch or money to buy lunch.
If you are able to arrive before 9.45 you will be able to help with setting up the stall. Parents we encourage your help to assist with setting up and taking down. More hands make light work.
These events are key to us fundraising to assist with the running of the unit. Increasing living costs (even as a Charity) are becoming harder to cover. Seeing Cadets and Staff in Uniform on the stalls draws people over to see what we are about so not only are we raising funds we are also recruiting for more Cadets and Volunteers (Uniformed/UMT).

The Sea Cadets, Army Cadets UK, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, and Cadets In Schools help to give young people a real advantage in education and work.

A 2021 study by the University of Northampton found that Cadets develop key communication, teamwork and leadership skills and become more confident and resilient, setting them up for future success.

And under a new ‘30 by 30’ campaign launched last year, the Government has ambitious plans to expand Cadet opportunities for a new generation of young people.
