Big thank you to all who supported the stall on Saturday at The Rose Garden for the commemoration of VJ day.

Some lovely pictures of our K9 friends sporting Poppy Tags and some human friends with 'PoppyMan'.

Once again the weather was on our side.

A total of £648.39 was raised towards the Poppy fund a cracking effort by all.

This Saturday 15th August Looe Branch members will be in attendance at the Rose Garden, East Looe from 10am with the pop up stall raising funds for the RBL in commemoration of the 81st anniversary of VJ Day (Victory over Japan - thus meaning the ending of the Second World War) Please pop along say hi to the team.

Good Morning All.
Thank you to all that attended the meeting on Monday evening hope the 3 visitors enjoyed themselves and will proceed in joining the membership they appeared to enjoy themselves especialy after the formalities were over.

RBL Looe logoed clothing order is going to be submitted tomorrow, if any body would like to add to the order please contact us.

Just a gentle reminder this coming Monday, 3rd August is the RBL Looe Branch monthly meeting. Usual venue ground floor bar Looe Social Club 19.20 for 19.30 kick off.
If your shy and reserved like most of us are ask for Paul the club Vice Chair, he will look after you and introduce you to everyone. Meetings normally consist of approximately 30 minutes of formalities then followed by 2 to 3 hours of debrief and informalities.
Please come along and join in

Following on from the visit last Monday to Jupiter Point, 6 members attended the Babcock, Devonport open day on Friday 24th July. Not quite the same as Navy Days back in the day 😅 but quite interesting to hear what is coming on line in the future. Lots of investment planned plenty of career opportunities for youngsters lots of companies recruiting in the private defence sector as well as the Armed Services itself. Just hope it all happens sooner rather than later !
The trip was followed by a customery debrief, once again this was at the Wilcove Inn, Wilcove,Torpoint as we were in the area.
2 days out in a week !
