We are still running our fundraiser to help with the electricity costs of keeping the reptiles warm during the winter.
If anyone would like to set up a monthly donation please get in touch.
We are very grateful for the funds already raised and it has helped keep the meter topped up.
I have added a photo of our average electricity useage per week. This is on top of the fresh salads, live insects and frozen rodents to feed them all.

I have set up this page after myself Abbie and my husband Richard agreed to rehome the reptiles from Fern Valley. I thought it would be a good place for updates on the reptiles and hopefully raise some funds for their ongoing care.

The ongoing costs of keeping them is becoming unmanageable with us heading into winter. The electricity is currently costing between £12-£15 per day, this is on top of the live, frozen foods and salads.

The last thing we want to do is give up the animals after they have settled in so I have decided to become a not for profit set up to help raise funds to maintain their care and hopefully help rehome other reptiles needing help (I have already been asked to take in a corn snake).

I am also looking at selling live reptile and fish food along with frozen snake and fish food.
The live food must be ordered in advance and can be take to Kirkwall. Any money raised from the sales will go towards the care of the reptiles here.

I have started a go fund me to begin with but looking to open an account just for the purpose of the animal care.
