December meeting was marvellous. We honoured the young Poppy Appeal collectors for their support, and gave a token of our gratitude to each. We would also like to thank their families who gave the time to support them whether that was standing with them in the cold and wet or driving them to various points. We would also like to thank our County Poppy Appeal Organiser Fiona Greaves for her support of Les Meadows.
After the formal part of the meeting we enjoyed a light snack and a Christmas themed quiz.
Merry Christmas everyone, we look forward to seeing you in the New year with a talk about The Lion Memorial in Longhope.

Friends of Longhope Church Longhope Church was packed, the Piper, the Standard and the readings made this a memorable day with thanks to Rev Lara and Bob Harris. The Red Lion Inn, Huntley provided a delicious spread once again this year, thank you.

And we're off! Poppy Appeal 2025 launches today. We have amazing teams of volunteers working hard across the county raising funds so the RBL can continue providing life long support for our Armed Forces Community. Please say hello if you see them and wear your poppy wirh pride.
