As we begin planning for the coming term we look back at all the activities we did last term and the fun we had. We made fruit kebabs, bead jewellery and decorated discs at the Junior Youth Cafe. We watched as the excitement built for our second Mario KartTournament, with the reigning champion holding on to his πŸ‘‘ whilst enjoying our Italian style puff pastry tarts. And we had a great visit to Norwich Castle 🏰, city centre and market last Wednesday where our young people showed maturity and consideration throughout the trip. Thanks to all who joined us for making it such a good day out and thank you also to Norwich County Council's Museums team for providing the tickets.

Trip Alert !! Long Stratton Youth Activities are offering a trip to Norwich Castle 🏰 and city centre on Wednesday 27th May for young people aged 11 and above. We will be travelling as a group by bus 🚌 from Long Stratton to arrive at the castle at around 10 am. We will spend the morning at the castle before having lunch together at the market. Young people will then have some free time to explore the city centre in pairs or small groups if they wish to, without direct staff supervision, before meeting again to catch the bus back to Long Stratton. We are asking for Β£5 per young person to be paid towards the cost of transport. For further information and a consent form please contact Anastasia at. [email protected]

We currently have a vacancy for a Part-time Youth Support Worker for 22 hours per month (approximately 5.5 hours per week) supporting the delivery of our drop-in Youth Cafe, after school on Wednesday's, and other sessions, where negotiated. Over the last couple of weeks we have been getting our hands dirty, preparing and planting our new raised bed in front of The Pavilion on Manor Park, with amongst other things, strawberries, chives, carrots and peas, just in time to celebrate Earth Day. We also made pledges to be more considerate in how we use the earth's resources.

All young people who live, or are educated, in the Long Stratton area are welcome to come along to see what we do in helping to shape local services or to raise an issue of importance for young people locally.
