Long Eaton Carnival

Long Eaton Carnival Bringing chaos to Long Eaton since 1931. Yearly local community event, usually held the 3rd Saturday in June.

Consists of a parade departing from West Park, royalty, bunting, events, entertainment, live music, stalls, classic cars and much more Organised by members of the Long Eaton Community Carnival Association, Long Eaton Carnival is an annual celebration of life in the town and takes place on the third Saturday in June each year. The event starts with a parade departing West Park at 11am, around the t

own and back to West Park approx. 1pm, with decorated floats/lorries in a theme chosen by the community, including young people being treated like Royalty for being outstanding in the community, walking parties, charities, local groups and businesses promoting themselves. Coming back onto West Park Carnival Event field, where there will be a variety of stalls, events arenas with entertainment/acts/live performances; a funfair; classic cars; live music marquee, with various bands held throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Long Eaton Community Carnival Association (LECCA) is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. The Carnival Event is FREE, relying heavily on donations from bucket/chalice collections, card payments, JustGiving page, and grants where possible, to cover the costs of putting on the entire event. PLEASE can you give what you can to this event - without these funds we would be unable to organise everything for the community, which has been a tradition since 1931. Happy Carnival Day, LE !!

Please take time to review and share this message regarding the road closures for the Grand Parade:

Drivers, please note that the roads are CLOSED on a rolling basis, meaning that sections of the parade route are CLOSED as the parade approaches and passes through them; sections will be re-opened as soon as possible after the parade has passed.

CLOSED means that the road is CLOSED to ALL VEHICLES with the exception of those registered as taking part in the parade and the emergency services.

Please help us to keep the parade a safe and enjoyable experience by avoiding making car journeys through the area between 11am and 1.30pm on Saturday.

If you do find yourself approaching a closed section of road, please either stop your vehicle and wait for the parade to pass, or drive away from the parade to find an alternative route.

If you find yourself in a closed section of road, please stop your vehicle and wait for the parade to pass.

In both cases, please follow the directions of the parade marshals who may be able to assist you to find another route; where this is not possible and you are asked to stop your vehicle and wait, please do so immediately and wait for the parade to pass before proceeding.

Have a great day, stay cool and enjoy the parade!

Thank you xx

We're delighted to have the support of Children 1st Day Nurseries once again. Thank you for your sponsorship of this year's Long Eaton Carnival.

Children 1st has been part of the Long Eaton community for over 20 years. Many of you, or your children, will have been to a Children 1st nursery over the years.

The Children 1st team will be at the Carnival on Saturday with activities for young children. Pop along and say hello, they would love to meet you.

The nurseries on Derby Road, Main Street and in Toton all have Open Days coming up in July. If you are looking for a nursery place, come and talk to the team!

Evening all!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we will not participating in the Long Eaton Carnival tomorrow.

We will, however, be showing our support for the Carnival and all attendees by being visible in the playing fields at West Park.

You’ll see us in our blue T-shirts, so feel free to come over and say hello to any of us!

We’re looking forward to competing for the Best Walking Trophy again next year!

Stay protected, stay hydrated, stay safe!
