All Saints Church Long Ashton Bells & bellringers

For those local to the tower with regards to June and July these are the extra dates the bells will be heard outside of their normal ringing times.

Saturday June 13th 2:30pm for half an hour wedding ringing

Saturday June 20th branch practice 4:30 - 6pm

Sunday July 5th quarter peal attempt 2pm approx 50 minutes

Saturday July 18th midday half an hour wedding ringing.

Please note otherwise bells will be ringing at normal times Friday 7:30pm until 9pm and Sundays 10am until 10:30am

Bookings for the bells Long Ashton.

I have in the last few days been asked with regards to bookings in June for the bells.

Whilst I am happy to accomadate everyone as best possible at the moment we are booked a way in advance with weddings and a few quarter peals.

As a next available slot to book I will advise July and August avoiding the weekend balloon fiesta is on.

So far we are booked for weddings and quarter peals in June. I am happy to help but if the first available date is not available I endeavour to work with you all for an alternative date

Peal attempt at Long Ashton was successful today the bells have come round in a time with the peal team at 3hrs 23 minutes well done 👍 some lovely ringing to listen too

We must be braking our record for attendances tonight with no less than 14 ringers at Long Ashton plus a visitor from Croydon.

A fantastic evening of triples. Plain bob, grandsire, Stedman and single Oxford bob triples.

Plus plain bob major at the end of the evening.

Things are in the right direction at long last.

During the following dates at All Saints Long Ashton the bells will be heard on the Extra dates in May, the bells are to be busy and will be earning this May.

Saturday 9th May - wedding bells will be heard from 1:30pm

Friday 15th May weddings bells will be heard at 2:30pm

Sunday May 31st at 1:30pm bells will be ringing a peal attempt 5040 changes for 3 hours Worcester cathedral visiting band.

It was the bosses’ birthday yesterday so as always a quarter peal is called for and this evening we got it. With no less than 5 Long Ashton ringers in the team.
