Sapphire Independent Housing is a growing and developing association responding to the changing needs of affordable housing in London and Hertfordshire whilst, at the same time, keeping the residents at the heart of everything we do. Originally established in 1969 as a housing provider with the purchase of its first supported scheme in Kilburn, we now work across a broader customer base reflecting

the capital's diversity. We are located in the London boroughs of Brent, Camden, Islington, City of Westminster and Hertsmere. Sapphire Independent Housing provides quality services to some of London’s more vulnerable people. We own and manage a range of homes and accommodation from supported and general needs hostels as well as permanent accommodation for single people and families. We work with a range of organisations to ensure we provide a fully encompassing service for our residents. Our mission is:

SPINNEY DRIVE RIBBON CUTTING

As part of Sapphire’s continued partnership with Hounslow Council and the Greater London Authority (GLA), a further 55 homes are currently being developed across Hounslow. One of our most recent completed schemes is located at Spinney Drive in Feltham.

To celebrate this achievement, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on 6 June 2025, marking the successful move-in of seven families into their new two-bedroom homes during March and April this year. The event was attended by local councillors, Sapphire staff, development and construction teams, and residents, all coming together to mark this special occasion.

We are especially grateful to Shannon, one of our new residents, who kindly opened her brand-new home to guests for a tour during the celebration. Thank you, Shannon!

We are now hiring for Housing Assistant based in London WC1X 9AR, £29,205 Pa for 35 hour week 🎉

We’re now seeking a Housing Assistant to deliver a responsive and proactive housing management service at Bethany House, our female scheme in Islington - as well as contributing to initiatives that enhance our services for tenants and residents in permanent and temporary accommodation.

You’ll be expected to provide a customer focused legging service to all prospective and new tenants and to liaise with tenants on housing management issues. Your responsibilities will range from reception and office admin duties to housing management functions, including rent collection. This will included managing post and visitors, overseeing all contractors coming into the building, dealing with emergency situations and liaising with the team to ensure all tasks are covered and completed.

We’re looking for:
* Proven experience in supported housing, with knowledge of welfare benefits, rent collection and identifying maintenance/repair issues.
* Proven experience in customer services and handling complaints.
* Experience of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Good standard of education, with ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
* Ability to organise and prioritise your work, to meet deadlines and targets.
* The flexibility to work in a small team in a small organisation, with team spirit, good judgement and practical problem solving.
* Understanding of working in a diverse environment.

We are now hiring for Supported Housing Officer, London WC1X 🎉

£31,257 per annum (increasing to £33,976 after 12 months)

Putting your key working and communication skills to good use, you will provide affective support to residents through individual support plans with the aim of promoting independent living. A through knowledge of welfare benefits including housing benefit and a proactive approach to rent arrears are essential. A seven day rota system applies.

Bethany House had a BBQ cooked by Feast. They had Karaoke, egg spoon race and garden quoits. 🎶 🥚 🎯

They also had a sexual health clinic and The Peel Institute attend the BBQ to promote their service. Empowerment and collection all in one amazing afternoon💚
