About the Study
I am a mature student completing an MSc in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at Birkbeck, University of London. As a vital part of my clinical training, I need to undertake a year-long mother-infant observation.
This opportunity is a requirement of the course, and mothers find participating uniquely rewarding, helping them to:
Contribute to Education: Help train future child psychotherapists and advance the understanding of early development.
Unique Validation: Have your early parenting journey and your baby's development seen and fully witnessed.
Non-Judgmental Presence: Enjoy a consistent, quiet space where your natural rhythms are observed without judgment.
What's Involved?
Who: Expectant mothers due in October or November.
When: Weekly, one-hour visits in your home for one academic year.
Start: Must begin before the baby is 10 days old (ideally before birth).
Your Role: Simply continue your routine. I will be a non-intrusive observer.
Confidentiality: All information is strictly confidential.
Purpose: Solely for academic training (not assessment or treatment).
Interested in Participating?
If you're pregnant and interested in helping with this essential part of my training, let's chat confidentially. I am registered with HCPC and DBS checked.
