🌟 THANK YOU 🌟
Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared our posts or just wished us luck for tomorrow!!

We have already exceeded our target, and feel incredibly privileged to be running with both of our tutus of much loved and missed siblings and brain tumour fighters, along with our incredible supporters who have sponsored a mile.

We will be thinking of everybody who isn’t here to be fortunate enough to do something like , and of course, our darling Laura, who is at the heart of everything we do, always and forever.

Gracie got some MRI results this weekend giving her a diagnosis of irreversible sclerosis of the lower spine. She’s in lots of pain but my goodness this girl is determined, her sister would be so proud.
We might not be fast, but we will cross that line together, for Laura 🩷🩵

Thank you all so much for your support, we will keep you updated!! 🌟

Less than a week to go until the London Marathon, and we have just £500 left to reach our target for the incredible charity Sibling Support 🌟

We also have 5 miles left to be sponsored on Gracie’s skirt!

If you’d like to have your name - or the name of someone you love - carried with us around the course on Sunday, you can head to the link in our bio to donate, or drop us a message 🤍

There’s absolutely no pressure at all, but we’ve suggested around £15 per mile if you’re able to, with every penny going to Sibling Support - the UK’s only charity supporting young people after the death of a brother or sister.

To sponsor a mile:
⭐️ Donate via the JustGiving link in our bio
⭐️ Send us a message with the name you’d like included (and a mile if you have one!)

Thank you so much for any support - whether that’s donating, sharing, or cheering us on 🩷🩵
(We’re very scared but excited for Sunday!!)

We’re doing something a little different in the lead up to the London Marathon, and we’d love you to be part of it! 🩷🩵

Gracie and I will be running all 26.2 miles together (in very eye-catching pink and blue tutus…) and for each mile, we’re inviting someone to sponsor it.

My blue tutu already holds over 300 ribbons, each with the name of someone loved and lost to a brain tumour, and Gracie’s pink tutu carries over 150 brothers and sisters, all gone far too soon and deeply missed. This time, we’d love to carry even more names with us.

If you choose to take part, your name - or the name of someone you love - will have a very special place on Gracie’s tutu - in a distinctive heart with the name and the mile you’ve chosen (perhaps a birthday?) and it will be carried from the very start line to the finish. We’ll send you a photo of your name too 🤍

There’s absolutely no pressure at all, but we’ve suggested a donation of around £15 per mile if you’re able to. Every penny will go to Sibling Support - the UK’s only charity dedicated to supporting young people after the death of a brother or sister.

If you’d like to sponsor a mile:
⭐️ Donate via the the link below,
⭐️ Then send us a message with the name you’d like included and, if you have one, a mile you’d like to choose (first come, first served!)

Whether you donate, share, or simply cheer us on, it honestly means the world to us 🩷🩵

Challenge 13: Gracie’s 1st fell race!
A very wet and windy December morning, but Gracie and I did the Wycoller Wander together, 10k of some really steep, muddy climbs but she did so well! 🥾

The theme of the race was ‘Heroes and Villains’ So naturally we ran as miniature heroes! (Mark could have completed the set but he wanted to be Batman) 🍫✨

An absolutely HUGE thank you to everybody who has donated to our challenges this year, thanks to you, we have raised over £5,000 for The Be More Laura Foundation and Sibling Support!! 🤍
Due to injuries & Gracie’s Ehlers Danlos Diagnosis, we have decided to continue our fundraising challenges into the new year, so stay tuned for more to come!!

The link to donate to our 25 challenges is still in our bio if you would like to support two incredible charities 🩵🩷

We travelled overseas so that Laura could access treatment, spending thousands in the process, and we're definitely not the only people (who faced with a complete lack of options) looked at treatments outside the NHS and it was always frustrated me that this information simply wasn't captured anywhere.
Now OurBrainBank UK are launching a research project to do just that...
'The project, which is being undertaken in collaboration with the computational oncology group at Imperial College London, will explore information about brain tumour patients in the UK who either have or are seeking treatment outside of the NHS/UK standard of care.
While it's known that some brain tumour patients do explore or undergo treatment outside of the NHS, there is a lack of data on how widespread this practice is, the financial implications, the types of treatments being pursued and information on patients' decision making around these treatments.
Therefore, through this study we aim to start collecting data on these issues to determine whether there is an unmet demand for these treatments that the NHS is not currently meeting. To collect this data we have constructed a simple questionnaire which can be completed online.
For this phase we are looking for UK adults (18 or over) who would be eligible for NHS treatment. We plan to expand to look at pediatric patients (< 18) at a later date.
We welcome responses from either patients, caregivers or caregivers of former patients. We are interested in hearing from people even if they haven't had treatment outside of the NHS, as it is important we hear both perspectives'.
It's really only by understanding the size of the issue that we can highlight how desperate brain cancer patients are for change and the lengths we will go to for those we love.
So please complete the survey and help us to move the dial.

OurBrainBank (UK), in collaboration with a team from Imperial College London, is conducting research to better understand the experience of adult brain tumour patients from the UK accessing treatment outside of the standard care that is offered by the NHS.

It’s been a month since Chicago and we still can’t quite believe we did it.
Here is a little video from our time there - including some of the beautiful voice notes our friends and family sent during the race for Gracie (better than any race gel or lucozade!!) ❤️

We’re so grateful for every single donation, and for all the incredible names we carried with us - the brothers and sisters on Gracie’s tutu, and the precious names on mine of those we’ve lost to brain tumours. When it got hard out there, it was those names that kept our feet moving.

Gracie’s only goal was to make it in before the 6:30 cut-off (after managing just 10 miles in training) so to cross that line in 5:25 was something else.
When we signed up, we had no idea she had Ehlers-Danlos, and training has been brutal on her body. Her joints quite literally bleed after long runs, and I’ve never been prouder of her grit.

We’re still going with our 25 in ’25… it might just take us a little longer than we first thought while we adjust to her diagnosis and take things gently. But we’ll get there. For now, we just wanted to share this as a huge thank you for all of the support.

Our 25 in ’25 donation link is still in live if you’d like to support two incredible charities 🩵🌈🩷

We leave for Chicago on Friday… and this is the skirt Gracie will be running her first ever marathon in on Sunday 💗

If you know Gracie, you’ll know that running doesn’t come easy to her. Her joints quite literally bleed after long runs - (she really shouldn’t be doing it!) But in true Laura fashion, she’s as determined as her sister would be that she will cross that finish line.

And when she does, she won’t be crossing it alone. Every ribbon on her pink tutu carries the name of a sibling who should still be here - brothers and sisters, best friends that have all been taken far too soon. We already have some beautiful names tied on, but we’d love to carry even more.

So if you, or someone you know, has lost a sibling before they were given the chance to grow old together, and would like their name added, please message us before Thursday. We’ll make sure they’re with us right across that finish line in Chicago (fingers crossed 🤞🏻)

We’re running for The Be More Laura Foundation and Sibling Support - the UK’s only sibling-specific bereavement charity 🩵

We want to raise money to support young people who are going through the heartbreak of losing a sibling, and also to find kinder and more effective treatments for brain cancer.

We are just about halfway through our fundraising and our 25 in ’25 challenges (which may have to go a little into 2026 due to injuries!!)
If you would like to sponsor us, we would be incredibly grateful: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/25in25 🌈🩵

Please like, share, and help us reach anyone who might want their sibling’s name carried 🩷🌷

These are the tutus we will be wearing for The Chicago Marathon in October (and a good few miles before that hopefully… pending MRI results!)

Over the next few months we’ll be covering it in ribbons- each one with the name of someone’s sibling who’s no longer here.

You may remember that for the last two years, my mum has run the London Marathon in a blue tutu covered in ribbons- each one with the name of someone who has died from a brain tumour. She put out a message, and so many people reached out, asking her to carry their loved ones across the finish line. It was beautiful- and for a lot of people, it meant the world. Every tough mile, those names kept her going, and it was an honour for her to cross the finish line and take all of those beautiful people with her in some way.

Now, I want to do the same. But for the siblings who should still be here.

Laura was my big sister, but she was also my best friend. For me, trying to include Laura in everything I do is a way of coping. So many people don’t get that opportunity, that’s why alongside The Be More Laura Foundation, we are raising money for Sibling Support- the UK’s only sibling specific bereavement charity. The support they offer is so needed, and could offer a lifeline to a young person dealing with the death of their sibling.

Before The Chicago Marathon in October, we’re also running a 10K this weekend and a half marathon later this summer- so we’d love to start adding names now, and keep building it up along the way.

If you’ve lost a sibling young and would like their name added to the tutu, just comment or message us. If you’re happy to, include their age too ❤️

We’ll keep adding names throughout the next few months as we train, right up to race day on 12th October.

No one should have to lose a sibling young, a sibling should be the longest relationship of your life.

I’m going to cross the line with my big sister’s name, in a city she loved, and I want to do the same for your siblings who didn’t get to.

Thank you x

Today has been & I’m sending love to everyone who’s lost a brother or sister.
It should be the longest relationship of our lives & yet we seem to underestimate the lifelong devastation caused by

Gracie and I both lost our sisters, both called Laura. We miss them every day. If you still have your sibling, give them a big hug today 💙🩷

20 days until the & I should be banging out my longest run this week - however I’m injured (osteitis) and haven’t run at all for over a week now.
All I can do is rest and stretch and hope for the best but I’d say it’s 50/50 whether I’ll make it to the start line.

This was last year when Mark and I ran for the incredible 🌟
It’s such an amazing day, fingers crossed I’ll be able to do it again this year!

Please send positive thoughts my way as I look longingly at my trainers! 🩵
