Skye’s Law

Skye’s Law Campaigning for mandatory psychological injury assessments in domestic abuse cases. In Skye’s name.

22/01/2026

Today, Skye was mentioned in the House of Commons during a Westminster Hall debate on domestic abuse–related deaths.

Hearing her name spoken in Parliament matters.
These are not statistics — they are people.

I will always work to ensure Skye’s story is told accurately and with care

Welcome to Skye’s Law.

This page exists in Skye’s name.

Skye was a victim of coercive control. Psychological abuse injured her mind — and that injury was never formally assessed or treated with the seriousness it deserved.

Skye’s Law calls for mandatory psychological injury assessments in domestic abuse and coercive control cases, so mental harm is recognised early, recorded properly, and acted on to protect people before it’s too late.

Psychological abuse causes real injury.
It should be treated as such.

This page will be used to:
• raise awareness
• share updates on the petition
• explain why this change matters
• and push for meaningful reform

This is about prevention, accountability, and change — done with respect.

Thank you for being here.
For Skye💜

Require mandatory psychological injury assessments in coercive control cases, ensuring trauma is formally recognised and sentencing reflects the real harm caused. Psychological abuse destroys lives, the justice system must treat it as serious injury. These changes could be known as Skye's Law.
