✨ A Huge Thank You to Everyone! ✨

The biggest news of all: Currie Easy Self Storage Twickenham has generously sponsored our storage unit for 2025/26! This covers our largest expense for the year, and I’ll happily cover any additional costs. Their incredible support gives us the space we need to continue our work without worry. 🙌

Earlier this year, I reached out for donations, and the response was amazing. Thanks to all my friends and family, the Salisbury Soroptimists, a friend who gave her dog-sitting earnings, and another who shared donations they’d raised for other causes, we raised £1,985—enough to cover most of our costs for 2024/25. Your generosity has meant the world. 💛

I also want to extend a special thanks to AMS Accounting Services in Isleworth, who have been sponsoring our postal address since the very beginning—you’ve been with us from day one!

With the backing of Currie Easy Self Storage and all of you amazing supporters, I can now happily say we are open for donations again. I was slowly winding things down, worried about space, but now we can keep going and continue making a difference.

✨ A huge thank you to my friends Philip and Adri for their wonderful donation of 65 bras and 12 panties. They delivered them this week to Voetlig Bedieninge in Klerksdorp, who support women in their community and will share these items with the women in their care.

🙏 Thank you so much, Philip and Adri, for your amazing generosity. Your kindness will make a real difference in the lives of the women receiving these items. Donations like these are deeply needed in South Africa, where many women go without basic essentials. 💕

An Unbelievably Uplifting Day 💛

Today has been an incredibly uplifting experience, and we owe heartfelt thanks to so many wonderful people who made sure everything went smoothly.

This morning, Kamal from the Rural Smile Foundation arrived to begin packing up 4,300 bras destined for Ghana. Together, we packed four very large, strong boxes—each holding between 1,000 and 1,100 bras. The challenge? Making sure these boxes could survive a long journey by truck and boat. Cue the industrial-strength tape! 🎁📦

A huge shout-out to Currie Easy Self Storage, Twickenham, who generously provided space to store the donated bras and later helped us manoeuvre trolleys with 75kg boxes. The incredible Fatima was a whirlwind of energy—moving bags, pushing trolleys, and just being utterly amazing. Between her and Omar, they were absolute heroes, keeping the storage open well beyond closing time when the collection van finally arrived at 6pm. 🚚💪

Today was a sorting day at ZABRA — and what a day it was! We’ve officially packed everything we had in storage.

A huge thank you to Jem, Fatima, and Izabela for their incredible help in sorting and packing 1,500 bras and 1,000 panties.

This week alone:
➡️ 2,500 bras and 1,000 panties have started their journey to South Africa
➡️ And tomorrow, 4,300 bras will be heading to Ghana

We’re so grateful for all the donations — we truly couldn’t do this without your support. Together, we’re making a powerful difference in the lives of so many women. 💜

Earlier this year, Chantal reached out to me about their upcoming trip to South Africa in April. They had collected some bras and wanted to know where best to take them.

I can’t thank Chantal, William, and their friend Caroline enough for stepping up as CupBearers — collecting and personally delivering 175 bras to the amazing Fred & Martie Soupkitchen in Johannesburg. Yolindie was absolutely delighted to receive them on behalf of the women in their community.

We simply couldn’t do what we do without everyone playing a part. Thank you to all who donated bras — and to incredible people like Chantal, William, and Caroline for carrying them across the world to support a grassroots charity. Your contribution plays a vital role in empowering communities.

Yesterday, Barry from BMC Clearance Services arrived with 5,481 bras caringly sorted and packed by the Salisbury Soroptimists.

Every May and June they do their annual bra collection and we have been receiving bras from them since 2022. A whopping 17,539 bras have made their way to women in Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo and wherever they were needed.

Thank you to Currie Easy Self Storage for making a larger unit available to keep these items until collected.

They say it takes a village, and ZABRA is proof of that. We can’t do what we do without the involvement of the communities around us.

Subject: Help Us Celebrate 10 Years of Empowering Women with ZABRA

I need your help with ZABRA, the initiative I founded in 2015 to collect and distribute new and pre-owned bras to women who can’t afford their own. I’ve self-funded this work from the start, but after being made redundant in 2021, it has become increasingly difficult to sustain it from my personal savings.

We are an international volunteer network, and this year marks our 10th anniversary. We’re proud to have distributed over 250,000 items to 250 charities and projects across 30 countries—a true testament to the power of community and compassion.

To continue this vital work, we’re seeking to raise £5,000, which will cover our essential storage and administrative costs for the next two years (2024/25 and 2025/26). Just £2,500 per year ensures we can keep ZABRA running smoothly and reach even more women in need. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to that goal.

✨ I’m absolutely delighted to announce a wonderful new collaboration with Beltza Lingerie, a niche boutique proudly based in St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa, dedicated to serving its local community.

Beltza offers their own delicate lace lingerie range, alongside a curated selection of beloved local and international brands such as Boody, Gossard, Corin, and Panache.

Jenn Hattingh, Founder & Creative Director of Beltza, is partnering with us to establish a local drop-off point to support women in surrounding communities.

Jenn will be working closely with local charities to distribute donated bras—starting with Sea Vista, Humansdorp, and Jeffreys Bay. Over time, outreach will expand to organisations in Gqeberha, Uitenhage, and beyond.

Together, we can do so much more. This collaboration is helping us reach parts of the Eastern Cape that are too often overlooked.

A huge thank you to Swindon Soroptimists and The Rotary Club of Swindon Phoenix and all their wonderful members for an amazing collection of 3,000 bras and 200 panties! These vital items have already begun their journey to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where they will be distributed to women and girls in need.

Special thanks to Anne, President of the Rotary Club; Lydia from the Soroptimists, who coordinated the collections; and the lovely Allison, who—together with her husband and daughter—personally delivered the donations to our storage facility in Twickenham, all the way from Swindon.

We truly can’t do what we do without the incredible support of caring communities like yours.
