Understanding your skin type is an important part of tanning responsibly. It can help you understand how your skin reacts to UV light and make more informed choices about your tanning routine and exposure times.

It’s important to remember that not all skin types are suitable for UV tanning. For example, Skin Type 1 skin (very fair/pale skin) that always burns and never tans - MUST not use sunbeds and will be refused use in any TSA member salon.

For the best and longest-lasting results, it’s all about planning your tanning sessions and building gradually:

> Stick to your recommended exposure time
> Allow 24-48 hours between tanning sessions
> Don’t overdo it
