The Erewele family is widely recognised for its humility, respectfulness, and distinguished educational heritage. They are descendants of the late Chief Barrister Frank Okafi Erewele, a respected educator whose legacy continues to resonate across Edo state and beyond. The family is known for its intelligence, exposure, and principled character qualities that anyone may easily verify through further inquiry.
Many of us have taken time to observe recent developments, particularly the frequent remarks directed at the Benin heritage, an institution held in the highest esteem by both those at home and those in the diaspora.
It is for this reason that concerned individuals have felt compelled to publicly address these issues and call for greater respect and restraint.
Albert Obazee, it would be prudent to familiarise yourself more deeply with the values and legacy of the late Chief Frank Okafi Erewele and his family.
Those who know them can attest to their humility, discipline, and commitment to honourable conduct.
Furthermore, the recent actions witnessed often referred to as the “double chief ” incident should be regarded as a wake-up call to all Benin people, both at home and abroad, to remain vigilant and united in safeguarding the dignity of the Benin Kingdom.
The Kingdom remains one of the greatest cultural institutions in the world, and its heritage deserves unwavering respect.
In light of this, it is my considered opinion that the Benin people deserve an open and unreserved apology from you, Albert Obazee. The United Kingdom should not be viewed as a safe haven for conduct perceived as disrespectful or dismissive toward our cherished traditions.
To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
