Copeland Park & Bussey Building - housing the creative community in the heart of Peckham.

Copeland Park is a thriving community of businesses and culture, with bars, restaurants, studios, shops, nightclubs, theatres, and galleries, among other things. Copeland Park & Bussey Building was actively saved from demolition in 2009 by local campaign group Peckham Vision. The aim of this was to show that the original disused factory buildings could bring new people and business to Peckham, cre

ating a destination point for South East London, rather than the proposed end of the line tram depot developments. The Bussey Building standing to the north of the site, with it oozing creativity and stunning London rooftop views is the iconic flagship, but as time goes on and spaces are discovered more is to come from the overall Copeland Park estate and further afield.

At the centre of Copeland Park sits Copeland Gallery, our large, 5-room, white-walled traditional gallery space.

At the other end of the site, located on Copeland Road, is a gallery space which offers something completely different…

Safehouse 1 & 2 are a pair of derelict Victorian houses that have been intentionally stripped back, offering a unique backdrop for South London’s art scene to play with, and have been a staple of the Copeland Park site for over a decade.

This month we spoke with founders, and about the intention behind the Safehouses project and asked them to pick out some of their recent highlights.

We're back with another block of Emerging Artist Exhibitions across August 2026 - open call now open via our bio link!

🌱☀️🌱☀️🌱☀️🌱☀️

This is our ongoing scheme (now in its 4th edition) aimed to get early career artists, collectives and curators exhibiting within a large gallery space by reducing the hire price.

We’re looking for new and emerging talent to take over the entirety of Copeland Gallery this August, and provide exhibitions that will be accessible and enriching to the local community.

If you are an artist, collective or curator that hasn't exhibited widely and are able to host an exhibition across any of the following options, we’d love to read your application!

📌 Option 2: Wed 12th – Mon 17th Aug
📌 Option 3: Wed 18th – Mon 24th Aug
